Every human being is born with a purpose, within us lies gifts and talents to carry out our purpose. Our role is to discover what those gifts and talents are and how to apply it to our calling.
At some point in our lives we all find ourselves thinking about what is our real purpose in life?
You may found yourself becoming unsettled, restless and questioning everything in your life right now. Perhaps you may be thinking that you are going thru midlife crisis.
Are you feeling, confused and dis-interested in your current role? Tired of living from paycheck to paycheck?
You are sensing the call if you are tired of your current job and want to do something else that call upon your gift and talents.
Discovering your purpose will give your life a sense of direction. You will discover the joy of living and a new lease on life. Your life becomes satisfied and fulfilled, and this will also affect every area of your life.
Prov 22:29 – Seest thou a man diligent in his business? he shall stand before kings; he shall not stand before mean men (KJB).
Until you discover your calling you will continue to feel a lack of contentment in your jobs, ‘stuck in the rat race’, work to live, dread going to work everyday and can’t wait till Friday.
To put it in a very simple format. Sensing your calling is like when you are ready to settle down with a partner and get married. You know how it is when you are tired of dating, playing the dating game. When you embrace the next step to committing to that one person to share your life with.
Do you remember when you got your current dream job? The initial euphoria of starting a new job?
How about now, maybe six months into your job or say 1 year? Are you still excited? Do you wake up with a spring in your step and can’t wait to get started on your day?
Or are you dreading the repetitive and monotonous workday ahead of you. Though you work in a fast-pace and challenging environment. You have lost your mojo, no longer are you motivated by what once thrilled you.
Throughout my working life I have been sensing the call to something other than working for money. For something more meaningful and challenging; that special vocation I can engage in passionately with commitment even if I were not paid a dime.
“The crowning fortune of a man is to be born to some pursuit which finds him employment and happiness, whether it be to make baskets, or broadswords, or canals, or statues, or songs.” ― Ralph Waldo Emerson
Within us is that call and we can choose to honor it or ignore it.
I have chosen to answer my life calling which will bring me fulfillment and to also help others.
When you discover your calling in life you truly start the journey of your life
What is your calling in life? Have you discover yours?
