I had the privilege of sharing my testimony recently. The timing couldn’t have been more perfect. I use the opportunity to encourage others to continue to hold onto God’s promises and never give up. Our God is truly faithful, even when we are not, He’s forever faithful.
This time of the year for many people is about celebrating the birth of Christ, shopping for Christmas presents, and for many others a time of sadness.
Years back I belonged in the category of those whose Christmas was a time of sadness. It signifies the end of another year whereby my hopes and dreams were not realized. What is there to be joyful about? What is there to look forward to?
I really had to dig deep to find the strength and encourage myself in the Lord that the upcoming new year will be better and greater.
The best way I’ve found to encourage myself in the Lord is by finding myself in the bible.
To all my sisters in waiting this time of the year can be tough on you. And the Lord remembered Hannah and it came to pass that she conceived and gave birth to Samuel. Then God remembered Rachel: she also gave birth to Joseph and Benjamin. God has not forgotten you and it shall come to pass for you too.
Just as the Lord favored Ruth with Boaz, He will send your Boaz to make provision, be a protector, an intercessor, and a covering. Just like Esther: you will obtain grace and favor with God and man. He will give you beauty for ashes and the oil of joy for mourning , the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness. Every tear shall turn to joy and shouts of praise will fill your mouth, amen.
So regardless of how things are today, have faith in God and don’t give up. Don’t focus on what you can see, focus on what you want to see. The things that you see are temporal, pray and hold on until you see what you’ve been praying for.
It is closer than you think, God is setting things up right now. Everything will work out for your own good. Just believe and trust God will do it for you.
Wishing you a Blessed Christmas and a joy-filled New Year ahead. Remember Jesus is the reason for the season
