How many of us are living with the consequences of our past mistakes today?
In our impatience and unnecessary worry to achieve the result we deem that we cannot do without. We rushed in like fools trying to help God fulfill what we believe God wants.
Anyone that has ever waited on the Lord knows that it takes patience, longsuffering and faithfulness ( fruit of the Spirit)
While the journey to waiting on the Lord may not be filled with excitement, it is however a test of our faith in the Lord.
You will never know how shallow or deep your faith walk is until you’ve been through the fire of adversity. There are no shortcuts while we are being tested but we must endure to the end just as Jesus did.
However, If you resist and take a short cut, it never produces the right results. You still have to deal with the consequences of your action.
All your natural strength or helping God will only give birth to “Ishmael”.
We are no different from Abram and Sarai, who in their own strength tried to help God. They ended up birthing an Ishmael. Ishmael was a shortcut and man’s logical solution. Instead of birthing the “promised son” (Isaac), Abram went with Hagar even though God had specifically stated that a child would be born by Sarai in due time.
The result of impatience and disobedience never gives birth to peace but conflicts leading to
suffering with consequences that has gone on right to the present day.
Know that God is sovereign and He is faithful to do what He’s said He would do regardless!
Our plans are mediocre compared to what God has in store for us. Even when our plans fail, God’s plan will never fail.

@olusodjay ~ Thank you and may God guide and help you as you wait on Him in all of your ways, Amen.
Oooh:)! My sister is on fire! Love it! Thanks for sharing! I pray God will continually speak to us, May our ears never be deaf to his voice! May we not only hear but obey, trusting in his guidance 100%. May we not be wise in our own eyes, May we wait on the Lord and do what God wants us to do, when God wants us to do it. #Trust&Obey… So help us God, Amen.
Bomi, Amen. Trust and Obey is very key in our walk with God. If we truly trust Him then we will obey Him. Thank you for your powerful prayers. I know its blessing me and many others.
This is so timely. Playing God is a dumb thing to do, cos we can never be Him. Thanks for this, sis.
Tolulope, we serve a God who is never late always on time. I pray that our decisions will not mock on in the future. Amen
Sister mi, I needed to hear this in this season. Thanks much. Sometimes patience can seem like indecision but there is a fine line there. I hear you loud and clear on not birthing Ishmael. God bless you much
