Imagine me holding your face in my hands looking straight into your beautiful eyes, saying those very words to you in my beautiful (so I have been told) African accent, “YOU ARE LOVED”. You are so loved by God and you deserve someone who will not only appreciate your good but love your bad too. Let’s be honest, we’ve all got a crazy side. Well, maybe just me! I know it and my darling husband knows it too.
In the past, I wondered if I was loveable. Unhealed trauma made me believe that no one would put up with me talk less stick around. Throughout my journey, mammas keep showing up in my life, loving me and affirming me.
And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge — that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God. (Ephesians 3:17-19 NIV)
God’s love has been constant when others left; He’s always waiting with open arms. For so long I put others before God. Even when God was there, I keep taking Him for granted. God’s love is different, unlike people, who only love you if they can get something from you. God’s love is unconditional, with no ulterior motive, not based on my goodness. He loves you no matter what, you don’t have to perform to earn His love.
You are not difficult to love. You are perfect in your imperfections. And God has some amazing people who will love you, faults and all.
God’s love is all-encompassing; it fills up the void, it’s overflowing and satisfying. We are able to forgive and love others out of His consuming love and able to withstand rejection.
God’s love is the ONLY LOVE that matters. You are well and truly loved!
PRAYER
My prayer for you today is that God Himself will fill your heart and soul with His love as you call out to Him to fill every void in your life. May you be rooted and established in the power of His love and you are able to forgive and love others. May your life and those around you be transformed forevermore. Amen!
