The same time and energy you spend worrying, stressing, talking and thinking about what you don’t want could have been invested in declaring, creating, focusing, and implementing the life you do want.
Right Time, Right Place.
When it was time for Isaac to get married, Abraham sent his servant to Canaan to search for a wife for his son. The servant stood by the well at evening time, a customary time when women go out to draw water. Read Genesis 24.
Genesis 24:11 When he arrived, he made the camels kneel down at the well outside the city. It was late afternoon, the time when women came out to get water.
It just so happens that Rebekah, the daughter of Abraham’s brother was at the right place and at the right time.
Missing In Action.
At the time when kings were at war, on the battlefield, where was King David? David was walking about on the roof of the palace, where he saw more than his eyes could handle as Bathsheba just happens to be taking a bath. David sent for the irresistible wife of Uriah. This one event led to lies, the death of an innocent baby and murder. (Read 2 Samuel 11)
Had David been at the battlefield where he was supposed to be, the series of tragic events which followed would not have happened.
Be Prepared.
Remember the wise and the foolish virgins? The five foolish virgins did not take extra oil for their lamps. While the wise virgins did. Since no one knows when the bridegroom would arrive. The foolish virgins were running low and asked the wise virgins for some of their oil.
The wise ones refused and the only option left for the foolish virgins was to go out and buy additional oil. The bridegroom arrived and took those who were there on time. Too late the door was shut on the poor foolish virgins.
Your life is not a dress rehearsal. Be prepared and on time.
Courage is the commitment to do the right thing, at the right time, for the right motive. What stands between us and our dreams are lies and fears called excuses.
I’ve seen God’s timing and divine alignment played out in my life. Right time, right place, right motive, and BOOM! There is a time for everything, and everything on earth has its special season. Ecclesiastes 3:1, NCV.
How to know God’s timing: By having a relationship with God. By walking with God. By committing all your plans into His hands. My being led by Him. By knowing what is the will of God for your life. By placing your trust in Him.
We are created by God to operate according to His timetable, not our own timing. The sooner we get it right, the smoother the rhythm of our lives will flow.
PRAYER: May you not procrastinate yourself out of the will of God. May you not be found missing from your position. May you not miss your appointment with destiny. May God give you the courage to do the right thing, at the right time, for the right motive.
Trust God and his timing. He may not deliver you in the way and time you think, but in the end, it will all work out for your good.
Question: Where are you in all of this? Are you missing in action? Have you gone rogue and AWOL?
