Are you questioning your direction in life: your path, career, and relationships? Are you tempted to abandon ship, settle and follow the path of least resistant? It’s Ok, we’ve all been there. It’s perfectly normal to re-evaluate your life occasionally.
What is God’s plan for you, your marriage, family, education, children, finances, relationships, and career? What dreams and visions have God put in your heart that won’t let go of you? What ideas has God-given to you to live a different lifestyle apart from the norm? These are the things you must do. That is where you will grow, flourish and shine! That is where you will come alive.
The path of the righteous is like the morning sun, shining ever brighter till the full light of day. Proverbs 4:18, NIV.
Your current state or position may not be dripping in honey right now while it seems like everyone else are in their season. Don’t believe everything you think or see, things are not always as they seem. When I trying to conceive, all I saw were pregnant women everywhere. These days I hardly notice them.
The Truth
Everyone is not going in the same direction as you. Be OK with that. By sticking to your path and convictions, you’ll stand out from the crowd.
God has an exclusive path for you. Trust Him and follow His direction. There is a path named after you with everything you’ll need for the journey. Faithfulness in doing what God has called you to do is what will lead you to joy, contentment and before Kings.
Avoid Short-cuts
Keeping up with the Joneses, competing, copying and following another person’s path are shortcuts with hollow roads, paved with empty promises, regrets, painful lessons, self-hate, disappointments, and bitterness.
You won’t go wrong when you stick to God’s plan for you. Even if you make the wrong turn and decisions, God is able to redirect you back. Remember Joseph; despite the obstacles on his path, he overcomes them all and God fulfills His promises.
Overcome Self-doubt and Fear.
The route to your destiny is through the valley of self-doubt and fear, and may sometimes be lonely. Your path is for you alone and it will take courage in yourself to finish strong.
Don’t Believe the Lies.
That you are behind, time is running out, and you’re too old. Don’t let the enemy distract and talk you out of what is yours. There are no shortcuts to your destiny and any paths which offer an easy route is a deception.
Misery loves company and everyone has an agenda: Don’t allow friends and family to talk you out of God’s plan for your life.
Finally….
Keep exploring, keeping seeking and continue being faithful by following God’s chosen path for you.
Take your time while walking along your path, confront your fear and doubt your doubts, take in the scenery and learn the lessons. Hold on to the dreams, ideas, and vision; your due season is just around the corner. God has you here at this time for a reason and when you have been found faith, He will bless and reward you.
