Gifts That Keep On Giving.

The older I get, the less interested I am in monetary gifts. Don’t get me wrong, I love having beautiful things, but they are no longer a top priority.

Over the years, I’ve felt conflicted with the commercialism of Christmas. If indeed it’s a celebration of Jesus birth, why focused mainly on exchanging gifts?

Exchanging gifts cannot be the only focus of Christmas; the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ must be the focus. Starting with my family, I’m gradually parting ways with old traditions. The minimalist in me searches for clutter-free gift-giving ideas that are thoughtful and purposeful.

A gift is an expression of love and appreciation. The cost shouldn’t be in monetary terms alone. Give thoughtful and purposeful gifts everyone can benefit from.

Here is a list of gifts I hope to give and will love to receive. They are gifts that keep on giving.

Encouragement – One of the easiest gift to give everyone around you: building each other up. Create a mutually encouraging community. Try it today, and you will reap the rewards.

Patience – We don’t have it all figured out, but with a little bit of patience we’ll get there. Someone needs your patience, be mindful and gentle with how you treat others.

Authenticity – Being around authentic people frees me to be more of who I truly am and vice versa. Imagine a community of genuine people? Let’s be real and more of who we truly are. Yes, we can!

Intimacy – With God and our spouse, with family and friends, makes a great marriage, relationships, and the world a better place for everyone to co-exist. We get back what we put in.

Kindness – Because life gets tough, nobody likes ugly and kindness is free and never hurt anyone. Start by being kinder to yourself and watch how this single gift alone changes your world.

Forgiveness – What better time to forgive and let go of the past. Meet someone halfway, extending an olive branch and spreading joy to the world. Forgiveness sets you free.

Courage – When I confront the obstacles in my life in small doses, I can offer support and encouragement to others when needed. You can’t give what you don’t have.

Honesty – We need truth spoken in love because we tend to see other’s fault and not our own. And until we remove the logs in our own eyes, we have no business pointing out the speck in another’s eye.

Anyone can buy you a gift, throw money at you, but only those who
truly care will invest time and take an interest in what matters to you.
Never take people’s time for granted

Self-Awareness – When I love and accept myself as I am without judgment, it trickles down to everyone around me, creating a needed synergy in our relationship.

Time – Granted, we can’t do life with everyone, let’s show up for those who have less than us: the orphans, homeless, those in prison, widows and less fortunate in our community. And make time for our loved one.

Better Communication – Lack of communication create negative vibes leaving rooms for assumptions, misunderstandings, and unresolved conflicts. Let’s do better.

Respect Other’s Boundaries – Respecting others boundaries is a sign of self-respect and how to maintain harmony in any relationship. Who doesn’t want that? Not me!

Vulnerability – Setting aside the mask we hide behind can simply save lives and connect us on a soul level. Not so easy to do because we are afraid of being judged and criticized. Vulnerability is courage in disguise, not weakness.

Self-Love – Give this one gift to yourself because your body, soul, and spirit depend on it. We were taught to always to love others, not how to love ourselves. Love yourself while loving others. Loving yourself will help guide you on how to love others well. It’s a win, win for all.

The best gifts are well thought-out from the heart, given freely without expectation.

Thank you for taking the time to read. May your gifts to yourself and others be fruitful and multiply.

Chain Letters and Junk Messages. Is Sharing Really Caring?

Is Sharing Really Caring?
We live in a world of information overload. We like, share, comment, retweet and unfollow, mute and block stuff we don’t like. Sometimes it gets really too much for some of us. I get overwhelmed by negative news and debates, unwanted text messages, junk mails, spam and too much exposure to social media. I crave solitude and regularly take breaks to detach from the hustle and bustle of a fast-changing world.

Chain letters and junk messages are one of my pet peeves. I can’t seem to get away from them no matter how much I try. I’ve unsubscribed from many online resources, blogs, and business organizations due to unnecessary junk mails. I don’t want to waste any precious time deleting chain letters, junk emails and text messages. It’s easier to just block repeat offenders who refuse to respect my boundary, and yes even family.

What are Spam and Junk mail?
Unsolicited, unwanted and forwarded emails, chain prayers and text messages. Bulk Ads campaigns and emails from an unknown sender and unsubscribed mailing list.

Junk comes in different forms and we can all agree that they are not serving any positive purpose in our lives. All junks are excess and a waste of everyone’s time and energy.

Let’s talk about Chain letters and Junk messages from people we know: our friends and family!

Chain Letters are junk. Period. They are manipulative and insert fear in people. Telling a friend if they break the chain they are not a good friend is nonsense.

Waking up to text messages titled WARNING!!!! WARNING!!! WARNING!!! is fear mongering and unacceptable.

Anyone who sends a chain letter full of ill wishes and threat such as these “If you break the chain you will have bad luck for the rest of your life” is not a caring friend.

Why would someone send me 5 pages of prayer in tiny fonts?🙈😂🙊😂 Surely, that can’t be from God! Lol! What have I done to deserve such, ahem, blessing?

Think Before You Click Send. Ask yourself these questions before clicking the send button. What is my intention? What is the message? What is the lesson? What emotion am I invoking? Is it absolutely necessary? Does it reflect my values and is this the best contribution I want to put out to the world?

Self-Awareness.  Pay attention to your relationships. Is the communication one-way? Take a hint!

Don’t Abuse Your Access. A relationship is a blessing, don’t be a nuisance. Don’t abuse your access, use them with caution, use only when necessary and with wisdom.

Less Is More. If you really must share, keep it short and sweet. No one has time to read pages of emails and text messages.

Share Responsibly. If sharing is caring, share something worthwhile and useful. Share something original. Share your life, passion and common interest. Share something positive and uplifting. Stop forwarding and promoting hoaxes, salacious, hurtful,  depressing gossips, unverified fake news.

In a healthy relationship, you know each other’s like and dislike, respect other’s boundaries and don’t send junk, annoying messages.

The truth is we are all complicit. We have all contributed to junk messages. The question is what part are you going to play moving forward? How have you dealt with junk messages from friends and family?

A Note Of Appreciation
To all my readers: I love corresponding with anyone who has genuine questions and needs. I value your privacy and would never share your email addresses with a third-party or spam you. I feel so blessed that we’ve been able to create a community based on mutual love and respect. I can honestly say that no one in our community spam or bombard me with junk. Bravo!

Living Within Your Limits.

I wanted to have five children, initially, yes 5! Why? I was clueless and living in Lala land. Once we had our 3rd, I realized my limit. Fast forward, with two children in Elementary School and a middle schooler, I get three sets of school media information daily! It’s a struggle staying on top of emails and making sure vital pieces of information are not lost with the junk. Then add homework, project deadline, extracurricular activities, birthday parties, cooking, cleaning, and laundry. Saying No to things became easy. This Mom is trying to have a life too. That’s why I can’t handle other people’s drama because I have enough of my own. Plain and simple.

As someone who used to love working under pressure, multi-tasking, even I have my limits. Life can be whatever we make it. It doesn’t have to be hard. Have we made it harder for ourselves to feel important?

Limits or limitations connotes negative vibes such as having to make do with less or without. Are we losing out or is our reality distorted?

Know Your Limits.
To know your limits, you’ll need to take an honest inventory of your life. Knowing your season helps define your limits: what you can and cannot do. Having a better understanding of your limit decides your commitment and priority.

Knowing my limits drive me to my knees, to pray and intercede for the need of others. Praying for others is the least we can do. No excuse. Everyone can pray.

As we become more self-aware, our true-self emerges; we can show up for ourselves and others by learning to operate within the confines of our limitations while respecting others.

Living within limits is key to achieving balance in life. As you realize your limits, you’ll start living a purposeful life. When you know your limits, you can live a well-balanced life.

“When you say ‘Yes’ to others, make sure you are not saying ‘No’ to yourself.” ― Paulo Coelho

Life is too short to waste time on minor issues. Somethings are beyond your power and control. Hand it over to God.

Knowing My Limits

Limits Are Real.
Limitations are real and show up differently for each person. Limits are not all bad; it brings clarity and order to life. It helps to speed up decision-making. Whoever fights their reality will lose.

We must work the works of him who sent me while it is day; night is coming, when no one can work. John 9:4, ESV.

Our time on earth is limited, and the days are short. There are 24 hours in a day. The sun does not shine all day neither does the moonshine all night. If you go against the order of God, you might die before your time.

Our limitations do not limit us. We are limited in our thought, fear, belief, culture, and traditions. Within the scope of our limitations, there is room to live a limitless life.

The body is not meant to endure long-term stress: You cannot survive without sleep and water. The earth was here before you and will be here after you are gone. Know your limits, respect the laws of God and nature, and love your neighbor as you love yourself.

Embrace Your Limits.
Instead of resisting, surrender, and embrace your limitations for therein lies your uniqueness, strengths, and advantages. Embracing limits enable us to live without guilt or shame and free to be our true self.

Helen Keller, at 19 months old, contracted an illness, which left her both deaf and blind. She learned how to live with her limiting disabilities.

She was the first deaf and blind person to earn a Bachelor of Arts degree. She was proficient in using Braille and sign language. She advocated for people with disabilities and women right to vote and access to birth control. She learned how to speak and became a world-famous speaker, an activist, and author. She did it her way!

When you reach your limit and have done all you know to do: Surrender.

Some of you say, “We can do whatever we want to!” But I tell you that not everything may be good or helpful. 1 Corinthians 10:23 CEV.

“You can do anything, but not everything.” ― David Allen

When the life you once had is over, you have the opportunity to embrace the new one with optimism. God can create a unique experience out of the broken ruins of your old life.

Have you bitten more than you can swallow? Don’t carry more than you can handle. Leave the heavy load to God. You are not JESUS!

You can’t pray away every problem. You can accept it, live with it, or learn to love it.

What if your limitations are blessings in disguise?

Be Alert and Fully Awake.

Beloved, be alert and fully awake! Don’t allow the systems of this world to rock you to sleep. Don’t get sucked into the bubbles of religious activities, working and paying the bills. Focus on a personal relationship with God and know his voice for yourself. Discover why you were created-your true calling, owe no man anything except love and live below your means. The pursuit of happiness and busyness of life has taken many captives on the rollercoaster of never having enough! Wake up from your slumber!

Be alert, be on watch! Your enemy, the Devil, roams around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour.
1 Peter 5:8, GNT.

Be Alert and Fully Awake.

What I Know Today: The enemy of our souls will NEVER ever relent or give in until the day of Jesus Christ. The devil is not some big bad wolf, he is evil incarnate, evil personified. He’s not playing hide and seeks. He means business and he has had decades perfecting his skills. Don’t be ignorant of his devices.

The devil wants us busy working for money, chasing the next big thing but never to discover our identity, dream, vision, purpose and spiritual gift. Be alert and fully awake!

We are in the fight of our lives, we are a target because we are marked by the blood of Jesus Christ. We do not belong to the devil and this world for we are Christ. And you belong to Christ, and Christ belongs to God.
1 Corinthians 3:23, NCV.

You Are So Much More.

I hope you already know this: You are so much more than what you or others can see or touch. You are so much more than what you’ve known or done. You are so much more than what others think or even how your perceptions frame your self-image. You could never be accurately measured by what you own or lack. You are more than the span of your years and therefore cannot be tethered to the adages of young or old. You are a child of the eternal realm. You are more than single, divorced, widowed or married. You are far more than your gender. ― Lisa Bevere. #Adamant on page 35.

You are so much more

An excerpt from my current read: Adamant, by Lisa Bevere.  A love note-to-self and a reminder worth sharing with friends. Post somewhere accessible for those days when doubt creeps in. I hope you already know this about yourself and I pray this post serves as a gentle whisper and a reminder of your significance.

If Not Now Then When?

There are no limits, only uncertainties. Waiting for certainty is certainly a waste of time. If not now then when? Don’t put off what you can do today until tomorrow. Tomorrow may never come, seize the day! Regardless of the outcome, all you can do is your best by playing your part. Better to try and fail than to never give it a shot!

Do ONE thing today that will take you closer to fulfilling your God-ordained purpose. Don’t worry about tomorrow and what others are doing. By doing your very best daily, God will increase your efforts. There is never a good time to disobey God. When you obey God, He will take care of your “IFs, BUTs and HOWs!”

How do you know what your life will be like tomorrow? Your life is like the morning fog–it’s here a little while, then it’s gone. James 4:14, NLT.

If not now then when?

If you don’t go after what you want, you’ll never have it. If you don’t ask, the answer is always no. If you don’t step forward, you’re always in the same place.” — Nora Roberts

IF NOT YOU THEN WHO? There are many negative voices trying to talk you out of your destiny. Be the ONE to talk yourself into your destiny by encouraging yourself in the Lord.

What I know today: If the vision for your life doesn’t drive you to your knees; it’s just a good idea.

Be Quick To Learn and Slow To Judge.

At every season in life, God will use the people you spend the most time with to teach you lessons. Be quick to learn and slow to judge.

Wise are those who restrain their talking; people with understanding are cool-headed. Proverbs: 17:27, CBE.

What people do, say and how they treat us gives us plenty of opportunities to judge them. Just trying to make it through a day without being the judge and jury is challenging.

In my ignorance, I have burned many bridges and highways by being too quick to judge and a very slow learner. Thanks be to God who never gave up on moi. I’m teachable: Still learning and growing. Always.

Be quick to learn and slow to judge.

Know this, my beloved brothers: let every person be quick to hear, slow to speak, slow to anger. James: 1:19, ESV.

Everyone you come in contact with has been placed there by God to teach and mold you. Why else do you think they are in your life? Ahhhhhh! Get it?

What I know today: When we are quick to learn and slow to judge, we become wiser with fewer regrets in life.

Let’s be quick to learn and slow to judge.

Lesson learned: There Are No Shortcuts In Life.

There are no shortcuts in life. Anytime I thought I’d found one: I’ve gone twice the distance and paid thrice the price. Lesson learned!

If only I’d gotten this lesson down earlier in life! Never too late though. That was the story of my life. Maybe you can relate too. Taking shortcuts: lying, keeping up with the Joneses,  procrastination, cheating, wrong relationship, plagiarism, sabotaging, withholding information and fraud, just to name a few.  Avoid these pitfalls and seek God for your identity in Christ Jesus.

A shortcut is the longest route to nowhere.

Lesson learned: There Are No Shortcuts In Life.

What’s The Rush?

Stop looking for shortcuts and quick fixes. Do the work & acquire the right set of skills to help you become A Master in your chosen field! You can do it!

There are many temptations on the path to fulfilling your destiny. Avoid shortcuts and loopholes, get rich quick schemes and scams. They will only lead to regret and misery. If it sounds too good to be true: Run for your life!

“He that hastens to be rich has an evil eye and does not consider that poverty shall come upon him.” (Proverbs 28:22)

A shortcut is the path that seems right but only lead to disappointment,  lawlessness, disorderliness and painful regrets. Seek truth and love which will take you to greatness and honor. Discover your purpose in life by doing what you love, making a difference and getting paid for it.

Taking shortcuts is a clear sign of ignorance, unbelief in God and lack of faith in one’s abilities. It robs you of any credibility and makes you an easy target for criminals.

What I know today: Sweat equity creates value. Do not get weary in the pursuit of your passion. Be diligent, pour your heart and soul into your work. Bless the world with your gift and God will enlarge and multiply your efforts.

Be The Best Version Of Yourself.

Who are you going to be today? That is a decision only you can make. You can be who others say you are, you can be like anyone you admire or you can simply be you.

As simple as that may sound, it wasn’t always easy for me to live out. We have friends, family, religion, traditions, and environmental factors to consider that can easily condition us into who we are not.

I have evolved quite a lot from being a daughter, sister, an independent woman, married and now a mother  At every season of my life I’m evolving. At different stages of my life, I’ve learned that I can be whomever I decide to be. That I have a powerful voice and ultimately I must be true to myself.

You cannot live a successful life masquerading as someone else. There is no one else like you in this world. Own who you are!

Best version of yourself

Daily I am walking the path God sets for me. Growing, discovering myself, making difficult choices, questioning beliefs, changing old habits, kicking some long-held traditions to the curve but mostly loving who I am.

What I know today: Life gets better when you accept who you are. Choose you: Be You. Do You.

Be the kindest, nicest, happiest and the most caring and loving version of yourself.

Food For Thought: How you define yourself is your choice. How others define you is theirs. It’s up to you to decide which definition you prefer. – Evy Poumpouras

Whoever you decide to become, be happy and love who you see in the mirror.

Dear friends, remember, you are a child of God, dearly loved, accepted and redeemed.

Can God trust You With More?

If we are honest most of our prayers are self-seeking and self-serving. It’s in our nature to want more. The flesh will never be satisfied; the more it gets, the more it demands.

For you, what does having more look like? Is it a bigger house, a new car or a high-income job? Maybe you are single and believing God for a spouse or married waiting to conceive? We are all seeking God for one thing.

Having more is never satisfying or enough. The more you have the more you desire. It takes a lot more to maintain more.

Be careful what you pray for. You may end up getting it only to discover it wasn’t worth it after all. Ask God to grant you His heart desires.

How Can God Trust You With More?

Have you counted the cost of seeking more? Can God trust you with His blessings?

Can God trust you with problems?
Oftentimes blessings are disguised as problems. When life kicks you to the curb, will you give up and accept defeat or would you trust God by praying and waiting on Him?  If you falter in a time of trouble, how small is your strength! Proverbs 24:10, NIV.

Can God trust you with Leadership?
Many want to lead but very few are willing to serve. Leadership requires commitment and dedication. Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will exalt you. James 4:10, ESV.

If God looks into your heart what will He found there?
We can fool other people but God looks at the heart and nothing is hidden from Him. Keep your heart with all vigilance, for from it flow the springs of life. Proverbs 4:23, ESV.

Can God trust you with a family of your own? Can God trust you with the marriage and children you’re praying for? Will you honor your vows to be faithful forsaking all others? Do you have a vision and plan for how to raise your children in the way of the Lord? For I know him, that he will command his children and his household after him, and they shall keep the way of the Lord, to do justice and judgment; that the Lord may bring upon Abraham that which he hath spoken of him. Genesis 13:22, KJV.

Can God trust you to keep your promises?
Will you honor your promise to God, yourself, family, friends and on your job even when the circumstance is different? Are you a person of honor and integrity? You shall be careful to do what has passed your lips, for you have voluntarily vowed to the Lord your God what you have promised with your mouth. Deuteronomy 23:23, ESV.

Have you been faithful in the little?
Having little is not an excuse for not helping others. Everyone can help someone because everyone has something to offer. And He said, “Truly, I tell you, this poor widow has put in more than all of them. For they all contributed out of their abundance, but she out of her poverty put in all she had to live on.” Luke 21:3-4, ESV.

Can God trust you with more money?
Are you a good steward? Have you been faithful in managing your finances and paying off your debt? Are you faithful supporting God’s kingdom and helping the least among us? “Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal, but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. Matthew 19-20, ESV.

Can God trust you with His glory?
By using every opportunity you get to share your testimonies and point others to Christ giving all glory to God alone. “I am the LORD; that is my name! I will not give my glory to anyone else, nor share my praise with carved idols. Isaiah 42:8, NLT.

Can God trust you to help others?
Every blessing you get from God is not just for yourself. Too many of us are good at praying for others but would not lift a finger to offer real solution or help. When I was hungry did you feed me? “The King will answer and say to them, ‘Truly I say to you, to the extent that you did it to one of these brothers of Mine, even the least of them, you did it to Me.’ Matthew 25:40, NASB.

Food For Thought:
And if you are untrustworthy about worldly wealth, who will trust you with the true riches of heaven? (Luke 16:11 NLT)

Food For Thought

Do you have a vision and a plan for yourself? Why do you want more, and more of what? More of nothing is NOTHING! Be specific. Make it plain. Write it down. Pray about it and commit it to the Lord.

What I Know Today: At the end of my life I hope I can say I loved more than I was loved, I gave more than I received, I forgave more than I was forgiven, and I leave this world a tad better than I found it.

QOTD: Go Where You Are Wanted, Inspired and Loved.

Wanted. Inspired. Loved.
What I Know Today: Time spent with great people nourishes the soul and help bring out your greatness. Go where you are wanted, inspired and loved.

 wanted. inspired. loved.

Do Not Neglect or Despise Your God-Given Gift

What Do You Have In Your Hand?

As long as the earth remains, your God-given gift will forever be in demand. There will always be opportunities to exercise your gift. You may lose your job, but you will never lose your gift.

Recognize, appreciate and value your God-given gift. Whatever you have in your hand is what God will bless. Stop comparing your gift to others. Little or small, ask God to bless it. Your gift will make room for you. A man’s gift makes room for him and brings him before great men. Proverbs 18:16, AKJV.

Do not neglect or despise your God-given gift.

Do not neglect or despise your gift. When you focus on developing your gift, it will make room for you. You already have a gift waiting to be discovered and developed. Your gift may appear insignificant to you, yet, it’s the very thing God will use to bless you and others.

Your gift looks insignificant because it is not connected to the vision God has for your life. And because you’ve not done anything to earn or deserve it.

Discovering your gift enables you to step into leadership, overcome your fear and live a truly fulfilling life. Only a few would seize their moment when it’s presented to them on a gold platter due to fear of feeling unqualified.

For this reason I remind you to fan into flame the gift of God, which is in you through the laying on of my hands. 2 Timothy 1:6, ESV.

Feeling unqualified?
This fear once plagued me, almost crippled me and I still have to fend it off at times.

Your gift and talent qualify you for your purpose, not your education. No amount of education, drive to succeed,  affirmation, and willpower is able to overcome a lack of knowing your purpose and gift.

When others see opportunity and potential, one sees all the reasons why it won’t work due to fear. The solution for overcoming feeling unqualified is to know God’s will for your life and depend on Him.

It’s frustrating and unfulfilling to continue to watch others live out their dreams. It’s depressing to allow this fear to haunt you for the rest of your life. Surround yourself with people who have discovered their purpose and gift, and are pursuing their God-given vision.

Years ago I signed up for Toast Masters. I almost didn’t show up on the first day, but I knew I had to for myself. I was pleasantly surprised how welcoming and friendly everyone was. After all, we were all there to overcome our fear together and make new friends on the same life journey.

Prayerfully Step Out.

God qualifies the called, not by man’s valuation or qualifications. The next time an opportunity presents itself, prayerfully step out. Stop thinking about all the reasons why you can’t do it, rather focus on all the lessons you would learn and who you could become.

Your gift and talent are opportunities to develop your strength, serve others and fulfill your purpose.

What I know Today: As long as the earth remains, your God-given gift will forever be in demand. There will always be opportunities to exercise your gift. You may lose your job, but you will never lose your gift.

You are somebody’s hero: do it for them. You are someone’s voice: speak up.
Someone’s life depends on you: fight for them.

For Christ’s Sake

When someone attacks you for no reason. Forgive them for Christ’s sake.

When someone attacks you for no reason. Forgive them for Christ's sake.

When you cannot find it in your heart to forgive or let go. Do it for Christ’s sake. When the desire to avenge is greater than forgiveness. Do it for Christ alone.

When you feel like giving others their just deserve, remember the unmerited grace you didn’t deserve. For Christ’s sake extend grace to others.

Dear God, When I’m frustrated and enraged at the injustice and double standards in the world. May I remember the cross, your unconditional love, and compassion for the lost. May I choose to follow your example for Christ’s sake.

For it has been granted to you that for the sake of Christ you should not only believe in him but also suffer for his sake. Philippians 1:29, ESV.

Christ has fought for us and now we must love, endure and suffer for Christ’s sake.

The word Sake means: for the purpose of; in the interest of; in order to achieve or preserve.

No one has greater love than this: that someone lay down his life for his friends. John 15:13, LEB

We are called to die to live not to live to die. We are here to fight and die for Christ’s sake.

What Needs To Die? The flesh! Our flesh needs to die daily. My rights, feelings, earthly desires, comforts and entitlements.

Our needs and wants and desires are not necessarily God’s will. Set your mind and affections on Christ alone. Love what God loves and hate what He hates.

In a war, soldiers don’t go to battle for their own agenda. They fight for a common purpose, to achieve and to uphold.

Who Are You Going To Die For?

Death comes to all eventually and no one gets out alive. We’re all going to die one day. Who are you going to die for?

Flee For Your Life And Don’t Look Back!

Some things are just not up for discussion. Just leg it! When Potiphar’s wife tried to lure Joseph into an adulterous relationship. The bible stated that “Joseph fled”. He didn’t hang about trying to talk sense into an immoral woman. Joseph didn’t try to preach to her, he fled. There may be people places and things in your life you need to flee from. Don’t try to rationalize it. Run for your dear life and don’t look back!

Flee from those who choose to remind you of your past and how much they’ve done for you. Your life is not a bargaining chip. Stop negotiating the terms of your freedom, you’ve been held hostage long enough. Your life is not up for bargaining.

Flee For Your Dear Life And Don't Look Back

Flee from sin.
Flee from temptation: So flee youthful passions and pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace, along with those who call on the Lord from a pure heart. 2 Timothy 2:22, ESV.

Flee from bad associations.
Depart from me, you evildoers, that I may keep the commandments of my God. Psalm 119:115, EVS.

Flee from the love of money.
For the love of money is the root of all evils. Some people in reaching for it have strayed from the faith and stabbed themselves with many pains. 1 Timothy 6:11, NET.

Flee from False Prophet.
Beware of false prophets. They come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. Matthew 7:15, ESV.

Flee from a decisive person.
If people are causing divisions among you, give a first and second warning. After that, have nothing more to do with them. Titus 3:10, NLT.

Flee from sexual immorality.
Flee fornication. Every sin that a man does is without the body; but he that commits fornication sins against his own body. 1 Corinthians 6:18, ESV.

Flee from idol worship.
“Those who cling to worthless idols turn away from God’s love for them. Jonah 2:8, NIV.

Flee from lukewarm relationships.
One who has unreliable friends soon comes to ruin, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother. Proverbs 18:24, NIV.

Flee from ungodly relationships.
Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. For what partnership has righteousness with lawlessness? Or what fellowship has light with darkness? 2 Corinthians 6:14, ESV.

Remember Samson: He couldn’t help himself despite how many times Delilah betrayed him. He kept giving her another chance until it led to his downfall and ultimate death. How many chances are too many when it compromises your faith and oppose the word of God?

So it came to pass when they had brought them outside, that he said, “Escape for your life! Do not look behind you nor stay anywhere in the plain. Escape to the mountains, lest you be destroyed.” Genesis: 19:17, NKJV.

Remember Lot’s wife: She looked back and became a pillar of salt. Like many of us, we can’t help but look back. Keeping track of people who belong in our past. Such as ex-lovers who are now married. Revisiting old joints known for violent and criminal activities. Flee!

Flee from your comforts, negative past, the familiar and back in the day people who refuse to change. You are a new person, embrace your new identity.

Intentionally seek out people who are going on the same path as you. Haven’t we come a long way? To give up now just doesn’t make sense. The best is yet to come.

How easily we can see the fault and error in others while we reason and make justifications for ourselves. Wrong is wrong! There are no variations or shades of the truth. The truth is the truth!

If you are ever in doubt of your actions or deeds ask yourself if they are aligned with Philippians 4:8, NCV: Brothers and sisters, think about the things that are good and worthy of praise. Think about the things that are true and honorable and right and pure and beautiful and respected.

Protect Your Peace

Protect your peace! Stay away from negative people. They will only deplete all the goodness in your life.

Happiness is contagious. Surround yourself with positive people, keep negative people at a distance.

Keep your peace when others try to bring you down. It’s not about you, it’s about them. You are responsible for the energy you put out and what you allow into your space.

Choose peace, it feels so much better than being right. Taking the high road is the path to inner peace. Taking the high road certainly doesn’t mean I’m weak or stupid. It simply means I’d rather have peace and joy than prove a point.

Negative, lukewarm & unsupportive friends are nothing but a drain on your energy. Keep them at bay & love them from a distance. Fill your life with more positive than negative friends.

Kick out the troublemakers and things will quiet down; you need a break from bickering and griping! (Proverbs 22:10 MSG)

You are not made of wood; you are a living being with feelings. Guard your heart; don’t dwell on negative thoughts, which will only affect your outlook on life.

We all have people in our lives that are negative. They are good people, but they are negative by default. Reduce your exposure to them lest they drain the life out of you. Inner peace gives you the strength to dream, believe, hope and fight another day.

What I Know Today: Time spent with great people nourishes the soul and helps bring out your greatness. Go where you are wanted, inspired and loved.

Do Not Despise Your Current Season

These are the best days of your life. Do not despise your current season.
Life is altogether beautiful.

Every day is a new normal, embrace it. You cannot relive yesterday, it’s gone. Today is a new day, live it well. Life is God’s test which cannot be passed without Him. With Christ, He makes all things beautiful and possible. Don’t try to figure it all out. Take each day as it comes.

Your life may not have turned out as you wished with all the best effort and intention. Do not despise where you are today. Do not talk down to yourself. Things won’t always be this way, but you must continue to rise up every day, trusting that each day carries a lesson and a reward for perseverance.

No season lasts forever. You are due for a change. Look inwards and focus on the many lessons you’ve learned. Thank God for His amazing grace and mercy. Make gratitude the default state of your heart.

These are the best days of your life. Do not despise your current season. Life is altogether beautiful. - buky ojelabi -

God placed you in this space for a reason. Instead of resentment, surrender. There is a lot you don’t know, be still and learn. Quit fighting and surrender to Him. You don’t get it, it doesn’t make sense and that is why He’s God! His ways are not yours and it doesn’t make sense, so get with the program.

Your ability to discern the seasons of your life will lead to fulfilling your destiny.

I DO SOLEMNLY RESOLVE to embrace my current season of life and will maximize my time in it. I will resist the urge to hurry through or circumvent any portion of my journey but will live with a spirit of contentment.” ― Priscilla  Shirer

You could be in the best season of your life and not enjoy it because you have your eyes elsewhere. Be content and enjoy the blessings of God where you are now.

Yet God has made everything beautiful for its own time. He has planted eternity in the human heart, but even so, people cannot see the whole scope of God’s work from beginning to end. Ecclesiastes 3:11, NLT.

In every season there is beauty, pain, and lessons. Enjoy the beauty before it fades.
Turn every pain into prayers. Apply the lessons learned and prevent a recurrence.

Your life is what you make of it. Someone somewhere with fewer privileges and opportunities than what you have is living their best life.

What I know today is that: Today is the best day of my life since tomorrow is not promised.

My prayer for you today is that The Lord will do for you things that money cannot buy and will open doors that no man can shut in your life in Jesus name. Amen!

Small Wins Are Better Than Nothing.

Many people have set lofty goals this year  they will not attempt or achieve. Start small. Keep it simple and realistic. Small wins are better than nothing.

There is power in small wins and little achievements. They are a set-up for bigger dreams, goals, and for gathering momentum.

Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a desire fulfilled is a tree of life. Proverbs 13:12, ESV.

Small wins are better than nothing.

Are lofty goals bad? No. Any goal which cannot be broken down into achievable bite-size steps followed by a plan and course of action would eventually backfire.

Small wins produce hope which fuel enthusiasm to run with your God-given vision.

May you move from being a dreamer to an achiever. May all your dreams come true. May you grow in godly wisdom, knowledge, and understanding in Jesus name.
