Book Review: Kisses from Katie

My Current Read: Kisses from Katie by Katie Davis – A story of relentless love and redemption.

Wow! I can’t put this book down “Kisses from Katie” is an amazing book that will inspire you to love more, give more and serve more.

What would make an eighteen year old leave the comfort of her home in Nashville, Tennessee move to Uganda, where she doesn’t speak the language and adopt 14 children! Yes, 14. All because she said YES to God. Kisses from Katie

What I love most about Katie’s story is that it’s unpretentious, real, honest and vulnerable. She shares her ups, downs, happiness, joy and doubts. This book points you back to Christ: learning to surrender, trust and rely on God.

Takeaway
You can do great things too right where you are. While it may seem simple, it won’t be easy but the blessings far outweigh the hardships.

Who should read this book
Everyone. Give this book to your teenagers, help them to see the bigger picture for their walk with God. Anyone that’s thinking of going on a mission trip would greatly benefit from Katie’s experience.

Overall, Katie shows us that little people can do big things when we say yes to God. And while it may not be easy we can do greater works through Him who has called us.

Jesus called His followers to be a lot of things, but I have yet to find where He warned us to be safe. – Katie Davis
