Hush. Be quiet and listen.
It’s not the noise outside that silences the voice of God; It is the noise within.
After the earthquake there was a fire. But the Lord wasn’t in the fire. And after the fire there was a quiet, whispering voice. (1 Kings 19:12)
Sad truth; many believers do not know His voice but are well acquainted with the voices of Pastors and Celebrities. God is alway speaking but we don’t know His voice because we have not spent enough time to get to know His voice.
Now is the time to practice the act of seeking, hearing and knowing God’s voice for yourself. Every follower of Christ ought to know His voice.
Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me. (Revelation 3:20)
