God’s Appointed Time

Don’t sit around waiting for the perfect time to do something that you can do right now. It may never happen. There is no such thing as a perfect time; we don’t live in a perfect world and neither are we perfect beings. There is a divine order in place; God holds the universe in His hands.

My own hand laid the foundations of the earth, and my right hand spread out the heavens; when I summon them, they all stand up together. (Is 48:13)

Pray for the appointed time of God to be revealed to you. Believe that God’s will for your blessings is right now. Pray, be led and enter into your season of appointed time and watch God do that which only Him can do.

Your part is to seek the will of God, trusting and believing He’s leading you in the right direction. Life is a made up of many decisions and there are no coincidences.

There is no such thing as a perfect time – just appointed time.

Waiting for perfect timing is an excuse for delaying what is needed now. Pray that God will perfect the time and your willingness to obey His instruction.

Waiting for the stars to be aligned is a waste of time because they are already aligned.

God created time; the stars, the moon, and the sun. He alone knows the timing of everything He created.

You may think your time has passed, and it’s too late for you to start again after that divorce or you can’t recover after the bankruptcy. Sometimes life throws us curve balls but a setback is just a setup for a comeback!

Maybe you had to go thru all of that to fully appreciate what God is about to do. Ask God to open your eyes to see what you are not seeing.

There is an appointed time for everything. And there is a time for every event under heaven. Eccl 3:1

  1. Amen! Thank you for these important reminders. “Pray that God will open your eyes to see what you are not seeing.” Amen! I pray that we will all be encouraged to continually seek God’s face, and apply our God given wisdom to know what actions to take. Amen! Thanks for sharing!

  2. I used to believe in perfect timing until recently. I just believed and began to make decisions that I felt God wanted me to make a long time ago. I can tell you that so many doors have been opened for me after I made those decisions. If I never took the first step, God would not have perfected what He had intended to do for my life. Thanks for this post.

    • Bravo Funmi! Your comment is a great addition and shows what happens when we allow God to lead us. Thank you for sharing and may God continue to perfect everything that concerns you.

  3. Your succinct and lovely post reminds me of 2 Cor 6:2

For he says, “At an acceptable time I have listened to you, and on a day of salvation I have helped you.” See, now is the acceptable time; see, now is the day of salvation!

Thank you for expounding on such a timely principle. I say a hearty Amen to all your prayers Sister mi

Indeed as we take steps, relying on God’s grace, he will order our steps and show himself strong on our behalf.

    • Yes, Now, today is the acceptable time. We must believe and be expectant that God will do His part. Tolu, the scripture adds depth to the post, thank you for sharing.

  4. This is very good… I think too many times we say “if only this would change, then I can do that” when really, we should press in and be obedient no matter the circumstance. If God has given you vision, trust that He is going to make it happen and step forward; don’t hold back because of what things look like!

    • Amber, this is convicting me on so many levels. Sometimes we use God’s blessing as an excuse for not carrying out the vision He entrust us with. This has really encourage me to step up and run with the vision.

      Have a great weekend ahead.

  5. Okay, so I get this that there’s a difference between the perfect time and the appointed time. I think the concept of time is one of the least understood by us when it comes to God’s dealings with us. We tags events with a date and an age whereas God tags events with His timeless purpose. It’s about fulfilling purpose rather than marking dates otherwise Abraham and Sarah would be the least qualified to be parents. Having said that, we need to tune in to God’s frequency so we don’t run ahead of His time or be left behind. May God give us wisdom in this wise. Amen! Thanks Buky for a powerful reminder. What an awesome way to start the year.
