I met my future husband on Thanksgiving Day. That was a God set-up and it was His set time.
After 3 children, 2 miscarriages, and many years of trying to figure God out. After many doubts, tears, joy, and gratitude, after many rejoicing and God proving Himself that He is indeed a covenant-keeping God.
You will arise and have compassion on Zion, for it is time to show favor to her; the appointed time has come. Psalm 102:13
I know that there is a SET TIME for God to bless you. We will never figure out when that time is but you must choose to believe that the SET TIME is now. The bible says that He will appear like a thief in the night, we the bride of Christ must be ready. Are you ready?
The blind man by the pool had a set time, Hannah had a set time, Sarai had a set time, and Ruth had a set time. You also have a set time.
I know there is a SET TIME, just because I can’t figure it out now doesn’t mean that it won’t happen. Our part is to believe that He is able to do that which no man can do. He is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us. We must put our trust in Him and believe that He is a good God (Mark 10:18) and there is no wickedness in Him.
We must choose to believe that regardless of what we see in the physical realm, that He is the invincible God that does visible things and nothing is impossible for Him.
Whatever you are believing God for; maybe for the fruit of the womb, spouse, family restoration, healing, financial breakthrough, what-so-ever it may be. Trust God!
The Lord will arise and have mercy on you. He will favor you to the
annoyance of those who hate you. He will bless you for His name’s sake.
I refuse to believe that a loving God would choose to do what He is capable of doing today in 10 years’ time. We have a responsibility to ensure our hearts are right towards Him to ensure there are no obstacles to God’s loving-kindness to us. Our obligation is to keep Him first in spite of what our eyes see, our minds think, and what others say! His truth will forever trump facts.
But are you ready for your SET TIME? What are the things you are doing in preparation for your SET TIME? What words are you confessing over your situation pending the time? What company are you keeping while waiting? Evil company will corrupt! Or are you just after the gift and not the giver? God will not be mocked.
In trying to understand and figure out God, I have learned some things on the way. Time and Seasons; when you are desperately believing God for a miracle, you want it like yesterday. The last thing you want to learn about is time and seasons. Even I‘ve had to learn that there is a time and season that God chooses to bless us. While we don’t know exactly when we must remain focused on Him and be expectant.
The blind man made sure he was by the roadside. Hannah cried before God and was in church when the prophet agreed with her in prayer. Abram left his family behind and also parted ways with Lot. Ruth prepared to have her time with the king. I left my comfort zone behind in London in pursuit of my blessings.
What are you doing differently to get to your destination? God will forever do his own part, are you doing yours? If you are not moved by your situation, then don’t expect God to be moved.
Your time and your season are in God’s hands and He has not forgotten you.
I love ur new picture! This article ministered to me. Truly there is a set time for every miracle we expect from God. Staying in one’s comfort zone truly can prolong the waiting period. What may also prolong is not letting go of the past i e not forgiving all those who have hurt you and not forgiving yourself. When the set time arrives, that is when we are able to do some retrospection and realise that every experience, problem, hurdle, disappointment we faced have shaped us and we have gained strength to carry on in this journey called ‘life’.
Ekundayo, Thank you for the compliment! My husband took that picture and I love it too. I guess I am going to start taking more pictures now.
Aha yes! Everything we’ve been thru is all part of God’s plan. Regardless of the fact that they may have been painful experiences, none of it is a surprise to God.
I look back on all of my life and I am thankful that not only did i go thru stuff but I learned from it.

For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry. (Hab 2:3)
Wow! I’m totally blessed reading this. Thanks Buky
Hi Lara, my awesome friend! Always great to read your fb post, keep them coming!
Buky – I am reaching out and hugging you virtually right now…you are a friend in my head in Christ, and this post here spoke volumes to me! Yes there is a time, a set time, His time, not our time. He makes all things BEAUTIFUL in HIS OWN TIME, not our time. He holds our future in His hands. Whatever He decrees comes to PASS at THE APPOINTED time. The biggest challenge we as human minds have is waiting on the Him for His SET Time. May God grant us the fortitude, strength, wisdom to wait for His Time and to WAIT WELL!
THANK YOU FOR THIS POST. You spoke to my soul, you spoke to my being, you spoke to my core. I am waiting for His SET time for one or things i am believing Him for, and I know that the Time is fast approaching, because when i look back and see His goodness in my life, i can’t help but to keep moving forward and believing.
Thank you again, and Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!! May bless you and what you are doing through this blog.
ps: Funny you wrote this post on the 15th, and i just received it in my inbox today – talk about the appointed Time huh? lol!!
Uche
Uche, Awwww Love, love you too.
Waiting – Ah yes can be a tough one atimes. There is so much wisdom in waiting, even though our flesh wants to fight it. God want us to grow into maturity and not be babies. While waiting revelation come, our inner man is renewed and built up. When we wait on God we give him the permission to do the work that only Him can do. We learn to trust and have faith in Him. We learn to know His voice and He prepares us for the battle ahead.
I know His plan for you is better than you have for yourself, and He is a reward of those who diligently seek Him.
As you wait on Him, He will not put you to shame.
Thanksgiving was awesome. We spend it with a group of wonder friends, a great time of fellowship!
Thank you!!!
I couldn’t sleep, so I came here, looking for a word and I’m glad I did.
My fav line is
“I refuse to believe that a loving God would choose to do what He is capable of doing today in 10 years time.”
It’s 1:33 am and I’m going to sleep easy, knowing that there is a set time.
You’re amazing!
As soon as my exams are over, I’m paying you a long overdue visit.
See you soon!
Hey Sis! I have missed your lovely voice.
So glad God ministered to you thru this post.
I am rooting for you in your exams. You have the mind of Christ (1Cor2:16)
I’m Looking forward to catching up soon.
This is proof that God is ever so mindful of us. This is a powerful post, a testimony and a daughter showing off her big loving powerful infinitely loving Daddy. I’m so glad He’s my Daddy too.
So glad we have the same Father – Daddy God.
This post has encouraged me.To be frank, every December 31st leaves me depressed because instead of looking forward to new achievements, I just keep on remembering my failures. I shall be 40 in a few days time. I have never had a boyfriend, am not doing well in my career and it honestly seems as if nothing is going well for me. I want to believe that my set time is now and not 10- 15 years down the line. I know that God knows the desires of my heart and he shall surely bring them to pass but the waiting has been so long. I pray that he shall make everything beautiful in his own time.
