Beyond Blessed

You are blessed beyond measure, going out and coming in. Has the Lord been Good to you? Tell somebody, tell everyone, scream it from the mountaintop that God is good and His love endures forever! Amen!

Blessed shall you be when you come in, and blessed shall you be when you go out.
Deuteronomy 28:6

What Jesus did for you and me is a big DEAL. I can’t and won’t keep it to myself. If it makes someone uneasy or un-friend me that is a little price to pay. Jesus paid with His life. Are you kidding me!

beyond-blessedEven on your worst days, you are beyond blessed.

Your worst days are never so bad that you are beyond the reach of God’s grace.bAnd your best days are never so good that you are beyond the need of God’s grace. – Jerry Bridges.

Reminding ourselves of our blessings leads to a grateful heart and a thankful spirit. Be grateful for where you are and what you have: many people will gladly trade places with you in a jiffy!.

Wishing everyone a blessed week ahead!

God Favors The Bold.

Don’t be afraid to stand up for your beliefs, even if it means standing alone. It is better to speak up against the majority than to live with the regret of being a silent minority. Perhaps you may save a soul.

I expect and hope that I will not fail Christ in anything but that I will have the courage now,
as always, to show the greatness of Christ in my life here on earth, whether I live or die.
Philippians 1:20, NCV.

True faith in God will cause you to walk alone. Abram left his home for an unknown future. Don’t be afraid to step out of your comfort zone in faith. God favors the bold and He will not fail you.

Good Deeds: You Will Never Regret Doing Good.

There is never a wrong time to do the right thing. Even if no one notices or appreciates your kindness and good deeds; God sees and rewards accordingly. You will never regret doing good.

If anyone, then, knows the good they ought to do and doesn’t do it, it is sin for them. (James 4:17)

Even when we’re falling apart on the inside, we can still appear strong for others. Someone needs your strength today, be courageous. A kind gesture, a word of encouragement can go a long way and give hope to others.

The one who blesses others is abundantly blessed; those who help others are helped. Proverbs 11:25

Doing Good - Good Deeds

When you do things, do not let selfishness or pride be your guide. Instead, be humble and give more honor to others than to yourselves. Do not be interested only in your own life, but be interested in the lives of others. Philippians 2:3-4, NCV.

Dear God, Teach us how to be caring and sensitive toward the needs of others. May your love be our only motive, and never driven by selfish gain and ambition. May all the glory belong to God alone. Amen!

QOTD: The Lord Is Your Constant Companion.

Dear Friends,
The Lord is your constant companion. Seasons and friends may come and go, but The Lord is forever with you. He is there with you in your darkest hours, never once leaving your side.

Have a blessed day!

Those who know Your name will trust in You, for You, Lord have never forsaken those who seek You. ( Psalm 9:10) the-lord-is-your-constant-companion-seasons-and-friends-may-come-and-go-but-the-lord-is-forever-with-you-he-is-there-with-you-in-your-darkest-hours-never-once-leaving-your-side-have-a-blessed-day

Timing Is Everything

The same time and energy you spend worrying, stressing, talking and thinking about what you don’t want could have been invested in declaring, creating, focusing, and implementing the life you do want.

Right Time, Right Place.

When it was time for Isaac to get married, Abraham sent his servant to Canaan to search for a wife for his son. The servant stood by the well at evening time, a customary time when women go out to draw water.  Read Genesis 24.

Genesis 24:11 When he arrived, he made the camels kneel down at the well outside the city. It was late afternoon, the time when women came out to get water.

It just so happens that Rebekah, the daughter of Abraham’s brother was at the right place and at the right time.

Remembering 9/11

Let us take a moment today to remember those who lost their lives on 9/11. For many in our country and all over the world today is a painful day. They live with the reality of 9/11 every day, every occasion, every celebration and every setback.

May such affliction never ever again occur on our land, in our nation, and in our world. May God heal the sick and restore the brokenhearted. May God fulfill His promises to bless widows and orphans. May God bless the United States of America.

We put our hope in the LORD. He is our help and our shield” (Psalm 33:20).

1 The Lord is my light and the one who saves me.
So why should I fear anyone?
The Lord protects my life.
So why should I be afraid?
Evil people may try to destroy my body.
My enemies and those who hate me attack me,
but they are overwhelmed and defeated.
If an army surrounds me,
    I will not be afraid.
If war breaks out,
    I will trust the Lord.

I ask only one thing from the Lord.
    This is what I want:
Let me live in the Lord’s house
    all my life.
Let me see the Lord’s beauty
and look with my own eyes at his Temple.
During danger he will keep me safe in his shelter.
He will hide me in his Holy Tent,
or he will keep me safe on a high mountain.
My head is higher than my enemies around me.
I will offer joyful sacrifices in his Holy Tent.
I will sing and praise the Lord.
Psalm 27:1-6, NCV.

Remember God’s Promises

There barely goes a day in our home without one of our children saying, Mom, do you remember… Dad, you promised…?

We learned early on never to make any promises to our children we can’t keep. Our answers are either Yes, No or One day. When we specify a date or time, we’re bound by our words and we have to deliver. They hold us accountable and in return, they are learning that their words are alive and powerful.

Remember can be found in both the Old and New Testament. KJV – 148 times and in NIV – 166 times.

During Hurricane Harvey, after 3 days of none stop rainfall. Watching my beautiful city flooded, many lives lost and thousands displaced from their homes. Fear begins to set in my heart. I had to peel myself away from my windows, stop watching the News and shut out other noises. I had to remind myself of Whose I am and His promises to my family. Once I held on to the Word of God, all fear disappears. Did the rain stop immediately? No! But God’s word halts the raging storm gathering strength in me. I put His words before me and recited it over and over again until Hurricane Harvey ceased.

What Should We Remember?

God’s word and promises from the Bible. Not words of affirmation or positive quotes from another human being. I love quotes for their simplicity, but make no mistake: It cannot deliver, heal or give life. Only the word of God can redeem your soul from the pit, heal all your diseases, deliver from distractions, pardon all your iniquities and bring peace, joy, and wholeness to your life and situation.

We need to constantly remember the truth. The word of God is our Shield and Armor at all time.

Be Consistent: Be disciplined. Be diligent in studying the word of God. Do what works for you.

Heaven and earth shall pass away, but My words shall not pass away. Matthew 24:35

Remember God's Promises

Why Should We Remember?

Because we forget: Life happens to us daily, and very easily the cares of this world carry us away. We have to know what God has promised us in order to claim it.

Because of others: We can’t give what we don’t have. We can’t help others when we walk in error and darkness.

Because God said so. In Deuteronomy 8, He told us not to forget.

Because Jesus said so: And in 1 Corinthians 11:25 – This cup is the new covenant in My blood; do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of Me. Did you know that the communion is one of the few things in the bible Jesus told us to do as many times?

Devil: The devil knows what the word of God says. Hence why He uses it against us constantly, to condemn us in his twisted and evil ways. In Matthew 4:6, he quotes “For it is written” back at Jesus! Imagine his effrontery! He means business and he’s after every Christ professing believer: that’s you.

To Receive: To remember is to not forget so you can claim what God had already made available to you. God is faithful to all His promises. God and His word are one. For You have magnified Your word above all Your name. Psalm 138:2

Claim What Is Yours!
When you remember, it is harvest time. Dig deep, quote God’s word back to Him. For it is written… God, according to Your words.

When Jesus was confronted by the devil after fasting for 40 days in the wilderness. Jesus didn’t get into some lengthy prayer, He used the WORD. Because He is the Word and knows His heavenly Father honors His word. Jesus simply said it is written….

Question: Do you know what is written about you? Do you have the written word of God in you to silence the enemy’s lies?

Lastly, You can’t claim what is yours without a relationship with Christ. God will not be mocked!

One Gift Leads To Another.

Have you ever wondered how come some people are blessed with so many gifts and talents? They can design, write and sing, cook, a domestic goddess with flawless makeup!

If we are honest, sometimes it can really rub us the wrong way. Yup! You’ll be so wrong to think they were born that way; born lucky and gifted. Hogwash! We’re all born with loaded potentials waiting to be discovered. God is a good God and a loving Father; He loves every one of us and has no favorite.

Update: After Hurricane Harvey

Hi everyone, thanks for all your prayers and well wishes. Thank God Hurricane Harvey is behind us. Phew! It was tough watching the news and the devastations around us. Not knowing how many more day we had to endure. But in all, we hunkered down and fixed our eyes on God. Our family is safe and dry. The rain has stopped and the sun is out. Water levels are gradually going down in my community. We give God the highest praise for keeping us safe and alive.

Houstonians are the warmest, kindest and most loving people you would ever meet. Houston is the most diverse city in America and one of the best things about Houston are the people. I ❤️ Houston. I 😍 Houstonians! There is no place I’d rather live.

Our City has a long road ahead before we can settle back to life as usual. Please continue to keep the State of Texas in your prayers. Thousands of people have been displaced, flooded out and homeless. Lives have been lost and many are without hope.

Let’s lift up all the First Responders: Emergency services, Law enforcement, Firefighters, medical personnel, local govt. and volunteers in prayer. May the Lord renew their strength and comfort the brokenhearted.

We who have been rescued have a responsibility to rescue others. ~ Christine Caine.

A giving person will receive much in return, and someone who gives water will also receive the water he needs. Proverbs 11:25

If you are alive, all is not lost. You have more than a fighting chance to recover all.

Hunker Down: Do Not Let Your Hearts Be Troubled.

As we battle Hurricane Harvey in my home City of Houston, Texas. Some of you are also facing spiritual storms in your lives. Hunker down, dear friends. Do not let your hearts be troubled by the things you see around you. Look only to Jesus, the Lord of the storm. He is our peace, the bridge over troubled water.

Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you.
Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid. John 14:27, ESV.

Surely the Lord’s power is enough to save you. He can hear you when you ask Him for help.
Isaiah 59:1, NCV.

You will experience peace when you seek God’s presence. Even in the midst of a storm, you will not be afraid. With your eyes, you will see the pandemonium but you will be UNTOUCHED. God has the final say for your life. God is on your side in every single storm you face.

Speak to your storm. You have the word of God in you, speak up and the enemy of your soul will flee. The Lord will see you through! What seems like the breaking of you may be your making. Trust God in the midst of the storm, He will see you through.

Where Do You Find Safety and Shelter?
In trouble times we find safety and shelter in God. We are not orphans, we are children of God.
For in the day of trouble He will conceal me in His tabernacle; In the secret place of His tent He will hide me. Psalm 27:5, NASB.

Our children are having the time of their lives; playing, eating and making so much noise. They are not worried about Hurricane Harvey, one bit. You know why? Because they know they are not alone by themselves. They know that their parents would do anything to protect them. Don’t forget whose you are, dear friends. You are gods; you are all children of the Most High. Psalms 82:6, NCV

Stay safe my friends in Texas. To everyone else be encouraged. Storms never last, and tough times have never met someone like YOU before! You were created for such a time as this. Hang in there!

I Refuse….

I refuse to give up on my dreams and aspirations. Giving up on me is giving up on you. I refuse. I’m taking a stand for myself and others coming after me. Even if no one stands with me: I’m standing for us. I refuse.

Granted. Life is tough. There are many reasons to give up. Even the strongest among us have their day! Lord, I refuse!

I refuse to allow the past to determine my future. I refuse to live a life less than what God has called me to live. I refuse to allow what others say or do to change who I am. I refuse!

As long as I have a breath in me, I will pray and fast. I will take my stand and do the will of my Father. I refuse!

What about you?

Can’t Sleep? Read The Book of Leviticus!

Are you awake? Can’t sleep? Read the book of Leviticus that should put you right to sleep! And you’ll learn something too! Jokes apart, The Book of Leviticus is a very serious book and a lot to digest. All I can say is: I am thankful for Jesus Christ and the Grace of God.

Sleep is a gift from God to replenish our body and to communicate with our spirit. Sleep is essential to our performance and effectiveness in daily living.

I don’t have any problem falling asleep at all. But I’ve fallen asleep many times trying to read the book of Leviticus. Whenever my children use the old excuse “mom, I can’t fall asleep!” I tell them to read the book of Leviticus. And reply back “It’s boring!”. Lol. That does it. Every time!

Reading is very relaxing, and what better way to fall asleep? Beats falling asleep in front of the T.V. and having all that junk in your spirit.

Can't sleep?

10 Scriptures to meditate on when you can’t sleep.

1 – Proverbs 3:24, NIV: When you lie down, you will not be afraid, when you lie down, your sleep will be sweet.

2 – Psalm 4:8, ESV: In peace I will both lie down and sleep; for you alone, O Lord, make me dwell in safety.

3 – Psalm 116:7, ESV: Return, O my soul, to your rest; for the LORD has dealt bountifully with you.

4 – Jeremiah 31:25, NCV:  I will give rest and strength to those who are weak and tired.

5 – Psalm 3:4, GNT: I lie down and sleep, and all night long the Lord protects me.

6 – Matthew 11:28: Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.

7 – Psalm 91:5, NET: You need not fear the terrors of the night, the arrow that flies by day.

8 – Job 11:19, NCV: You will lie down, and no one will scare you. Many people will want favors from you.

9 –  1 Peter 5:7, NLT: Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you.

10 – Isaiah 26:3, ESV: You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you.

Saturate your room with praise & worship songs. Sleep away your sorrows and worries. Wake up to the sound of Heaven.

As you prepare to sleep remember who God says you are and cast all your worries on God. A great way to end the day is with thanksgiving and praise. Ponder on the goodness of God and all He has done for you.

Prayer: Dear God, As I lay my head down to sleep let your voice be the one I hear. In the morning time, fill me with your holy presence. Amen!

Solitude: Connecting With Your Inner Self.

Solitude is the act of connecting with your inner self. Solitude is intimacy with God. The best way to know yourself is by spending time with your Maker and yourself. Spending time alone is self-care. We need to daily check-in with our authentic self, otherwise, we become who others say we are.

It hasn’t always been this way: For many years I filled every waking moment of my life doing, chasing, stressing, striving, toiling and fussing over everything. I was running from myself and looking to others to fill the void and make me happy. If I don’t know myself, what chance does anyone has of making me happy?

Please don’t mistake Loneliness for Solitude. Solitude is a choice one makes with gladness. Loneliness is an overwhelming emotional state of mind.

The truth is we are never alone, just alone with God.

I am rarely bored by myself. I’ve come to love my own company.

I love spending time alone. I love being by myself. I love my own company. I enjoy talking to myself and replying myself. I love shutting out the world and just being by myself and my Maker. Spending time with God is my happy place.

One thing I ask from the LORD, this only do I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to gaze on the beauty of the LORD and to seek him in his temple. Psalm 27:4, NIV.

It is the Spirit that gives life. The flesh doesn’t give life. The words I told you are spirit, and they give life. John 6:63, NCV.

We are made of Spirit, Soul and Body. The Spirit gives life to the body. Don’t ignore your spirit. The spirit knows all things; what the soul and body cannot conceive.

God is a Spirit: and they that worship Him must worship Him in spirit and in truth. John 4:24

“The emptiness within has driven many towards religion, illicit sex, drugs, and many destructive paths. Only GOD can fill the dry and empty places in your heart. Let Him quench your thirsty soul today by yielding to His Spirit.

Just as the physical body needs healthy food and water daily. Your spirit needs solitude and daily communion with God.

It’s documented in the Bible, how Jesus pulled away from the multitude and his disciples to spend time alone. We see this also after Paul dramatic conversion, he was alone for 3 days in solitude. (Act 9:9)

Solitude is a way of replenishing your spirit, soul, and body. Personally, If I go for days without solitude, I won’t be pleasant to live with. My body becomes out of alignment and I don’t enjoy who I become. I’m no good to myself, my family and others.

Prayer: Holy Spirit, Fill us afresh with more of You. Draw us to your presence and may we find contentment in you. From the abundance we receive, may it flow and touch everyone we come in contact with. Fill our hearts with love and compassion. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

I can’t think of a better way to end the day other than in solitude and gratitude. The Spirit is always willing,  patiently waiting and calling. Find a quiet spot and enter in. Be filled and refreshed.

In closing, Jesus said to Martha: Only one thing is important. Mary has chosen the better thing, and it will never be taken away from her. Luke 10:24, NCV.

Question: What one thing have you discovered through Solitude?

Be Grateful: Accept What Is, Let Go Of What Was.

Life does not have to be perfect to be wonderful.
Accept what is and let go of what was.
Be grateful for the life you have.

Life does not have to be perfect to be wonderful. Accept what is and let go of what was. Be grateful for the life you have.

As the month comes to an end, I’ve been thinking about the goodness of God to our family. So easily we can focus on what we lack instead of what we have. Like everyone else, I have a long list of things I’m waiting on the Lord for. The most important things in life which money cannot buy are indeed priceless. Good health, a loving family, great friends, a happy marriage, a peaceful home, amazing children, a positive heart and outlook, wonderful neighbors, and a great community that daily inspires me. I can go on and on! I’m thankful for each and every one of you who takes the time to read my blog post and daily spend your time with me on Facebook. Your love and words of encouragement truly make a huge difference in my life. I hope you’ll take the time to count your blessings and be grateful to God for all His blessings.

Many, Lord my God, are the wonders you have done, the things you planned for us. None can compare with you; were I to speak and tell of your deeds, they would be too many to declare. Psalm 40:5, NIV.

Enjoy the goodness each day brings. Today is a gift. Tomorrow can wait. Life is temporary.

Overcoming Life’s Disappointments.

Dear friends, it seems like just yesterday when I was unashamedly desperate to get married and have babies. I know the pain of waiting to be found by my Boaz. Learning to celebrate others while I wait for my turn. Learning to overcome life’s disappointments is the route to contentment and maturity.

You can choose to focus on your disappointments or your blessings
but you can’t have both.

Disappointments are a part of life, they happen to everyone and they are painful. This is one of the things we all have in common. Continue reading

FYI: Christians Are Not Normal

The days of ordinary, normal and doing business, as usual, died over 2000 years ago when Christ was born. His conception is unrivaled. His life and death are controversial. He’s the undisputed King of kings, and Lord of lords. Jesus Christ was and is the original, misfit, outcast, troublemaker, and the unassuming underdog: all others are wannabes. Taking up a towel instead of weapons of war, laying down His life for all mankind.

He’s gentle and meek, unpredictable and unapologetic; passionately detest sin, the ultimate Rule Breaker, and the one and only Revolutionary. All other kingdoms before Him are non-existent: His Kingdom is forever! He healed on the Sabbath, forgave a woman caught in adultery, loved the little children and called out hypocrites!

The Lord is King forever. Your God, O Zion, will reign for all time. Praise the Lord! Psalm 146:10

How then can we be normal, ordinary and trying to fit in? We shouldn’t, and we’ll never fit in. Christians are not normal! Christ was not normal and neither are we. Are we supposed to be a peculiar people, a holy nation?

But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light. 1 Peter 2:9, KJV

It takes courage to have faith in a God you cannot see, living in a world that thinks you are crazy.  Normal people play it safe and are too sane to walk with Jesus because they walk by sight and not faith.

You are unique and different. You are a masterpiece, one of a kind. God created you in His image. You are the child of the Most High God. You are an Ambassador Plenipotentiary of God’s Kingdom. You are not normal, You are special. Be You!

If you belonged to the world, its people would love you. But you don’t belong to the world.
I have chosen you to leave the world behind, and that is why its people hate you.
John 15:19, CEV.

Here’s to anyone who has ever been called: Bible-thumper, Misfit, Eccentric, Jesus Freak, Outcast, Troublemaker, Black sheep, Different, Rebel, Crazy, Rule-breaker, Controversial, Underdog, and Nerd. Embrace your uniqueness. Our world needs you now than ever. Resist the urge to conform to normal and ordinary. Stay true to yourself; An original, never a carbon copy!

A few names here and there never hurt anyone. Wear your peculiarity as a badge of honor. The world is waiting for you.

I’m an outcast, I don’t’ fit in. I’m alright with that! Are you?

Go Directly To God

Go directly to God. Do not lean on anyone’s understanding. Man and religion cannot save, heal or deliver, only through Christ. For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus. 1 Timothy 2:5, KJB.

I am all for Church and fellowship with others. But going to Church alone does not make you a Christian. Going to Church alone does not make you a child of God. Going to church without having a personal relationship with God, equate to Works. You cannot buy your way into God’s affection, favor and blessings through works. That is why many Christians are giving up on churches because all their best efforts to live the Christian life failed. There is salvation in no one else! God has given no other name under heaven by which we must be saved. Act 4:12, NLT.

Go directly to God. These are not the days of Moses. We are living in the dispensation of the Holy Spirit. Get to know God for yourself. Talk to God, cry out to Him. Spend time with God in quietness. God wants to talk to you and you can hear His voice. My soul waits in silence for God only; From Him is my salvation. Psalm 62:5, NASB.

Think about this: You already know the voices of your pastors, Christian leaders and what good has that done for you? Isn’t it time you know God’s voice for yourself?

Follow Jesus Christ alone. God’s word is the same yesterday, today and forever. The only one we can trust is the Holy Spirit. Man’s theology and doctrine will constantly change with time. We can always count on the Holy Spirit to speak the mind of God. Go directly to GOD!

I pray today you will cry out to God “Show Me Your Glory.” God will honor the cry of a desperate heart, diligently hungry for more of Him. Enough of man’s theology and religion in your life. More of Yeshua our Messiah. Amen.

Do Your Part.

It only takes ONE person to shine the light. Be the light, be the voice of encouragement. Your contribution is the only part that matters the most, you are fulfilling divine purpose by actively doing your part.

At 13 years old, I lost my father through a car accident – our lives changed. My world changed. As a child, I was blindsided. My life as I knew it was never the same again. I was forced to grow up pretty quickly. I was thrust into a life I was not prepared for and I was alone in my thoughts.

Almost everyone from my father’s side of the family disappeared! Totally! We went from having numerous families’ visitation and yearly vacations to naught.

Here’s the game changer. Here is where your part matters. Here is how you can show up big-time for others, even just doing the minimum.

I had this one Uncle; we call him Dupe’s Dad – Mr. Abiona. He was the only relative from my Dad’s side of the family who visited us faithfully every year. . He might have visited us more than once, but faithfully he never missed visiting us around a festive holiday e.g. Easter / Christmas. He would always turn up with his family bearing gifts and spending quality time with us. He would ask about my schoolwork and grades, and made me promise him that by his next visit I would have improved even more. When leaving He would always give us money, as it was the custom. Writing this makes me teary even now. My Uncle is now deceased.

My uncle did his part. It may not have seemed much to him but to my mum and me, it was HUGE! And that’s what we all ought to do – OUR PART.

Don’t sit on the fence thinking little old me what can I do. Just do your part! Learn to do good; Seek justice, Reprove the ruthless, Defend the orphan, Plead for the widow. Isaiah 1:17, NASB.

No one can do your part. Your part is all that matters. We all have the same 24 hours. Make every day count. Make a difference in someone’s life. Little is much when God’s in it.

Who has God been tugging on your heart to visit, call or text? Do it today. Tomorrow may be too late. When you give to the poor, it is like lending to the Lord, and the Lord will pay you back. Proverbs 19:17, GNT.

Years later, after I’d been through the school of hard knocks. I was living in London, working and fending for myself. One of my Uncle reached out to me – extending an olive branch. I was not in the mood. I’ve lost faith in the so-called “village”. Bitterness and unforgiveness had taken root in my heart. And I wasn’t prepared to step down from my sanctimonious throne. I enjoyed playing the victim and that story was working for me.

I rejected his hand of friendship. I was lacking in grace and wisdom. You see I’d tasted the dark side of life, learned how to depend on myself, and my heart was closed off. Little girls may have grown up but they become wounded, jaded and untrusting. Now by God’s grace I know better.

God has placed all the help we need around us. We just need to get our fingers out and do our part. It’s really that simple. Don’t complicate things. Just Do Your Part. Everyone can help someone, because everyone has something to offer.

May the Lord open your eyes, touch your heart and lead you to someone who desperately needs your time, love, listening ears, a shoulder to cry on, some words of encouragement or anything your can offer. Your anything is more than enough for someone. Do the minimum. Don’t’ over commit yourself. Be a ray of sunshine in someone’s nightmare. Blessed is he that considers the poor: the LORD will deliver him in time of trouble.
Psalm 82:3, AKJV.

If You Want Some Good News Read The Bible.

The World is full of fake and sad news. If you want some Good News read the Bible.

Now, brothers and sisters, I want you to remember the Good News I brought to you. You received this Good News and continue strong in it. 2 And you are being saved by it if you continue believing what I told you. If you do not, then you believed for nothing. 1 Corinthians 15:1-2, NCV.

We are living in perilous time. There is hardly a day gone by that we are not bombarded with fake and sad news. We are overwhelmed, and fast becoming desensitized to news in general.

It’s been 6 years since we cut off Cable TV. Yay! We still have access to local TV, and we get by with Roku TV.

Gone are the days when Television was something to cheer you up after a long day. Television is nothing but a marketing ploy that tell lies to your vision and dull your senses.  So if you are looking for some Good News read the Bible. Get the old concordance out and make some notes.

The word of God is all you need. What better than the Good News of Jesus Christ? Think about it: A book was written just for you! To guide, instruct and teach you in the way to go. Your personal owner’s manual. The Word of God gives life to dead bones. Makes the weak become strong. Gives hope to the simple and set the captive free. Take your pick; the Bible is full of Good News – Our Daily Bread.

The next time you find yourself channel surfing – that’s your cue to drop the remote control and pick up the Good News. Take it chapter by chapter; it will keep your heart tender, sensitive and humble. Out of you will flow rivers of living water. You will have peace like a river even when the world is going crazy, you will be as stable as a rock. Unleash the word of God like a grenade and it will illuminate your Body, Soul and Spirit.

If there is such a time when we’re in dire need of the Good News, it’s now. The world systems are fast changing, failing, it makes a mockery of the our education and financial system.

Only I can tell you the future before it even happens. Everything I plan will come to pass,
for I do whatever I wish. Isaiah 46:10
