God Will Bless Your Hustle.

When you run your race with integrity God will bless your hustle. Just You Wait. Promotion comes from God, not man and His rewards are everlasting.

A man’s gift makes room for him and brings him before great men. Proverbs 18:16, NASB.

God will bless your hustle. When you run your race with integrity God will bless your hustle.

There is no shortcut to success. Your gift, not another person’s gift – but your gift will bring you before great men. Don’t be distracted by those taking shortcuts, cheating and scamming their way to the top. There is a God in heaven who watches over the affairs of men, who is on the side of the righteous. The battles belong to Him, He will vindicate you – JUST YOU WAIT!

Wealth from get-rich-quick schemes quickly disappears; wealth from hard work grows over time. Proverbs 13:11, NLT.

Dear Friends, Do not be in a rush to get ahead. Don’t associate with corrupt people. It is better to have a little with peace of mind; than to have a lot and be miserable.

Better to have little, with fear for the LORD, than to have great treasure and inner turmoil. Proverbs 15:16, NLT.

They may copy, steal or take credit for your work but they will never have your mind, gift, and talent or the ability to keep creating more.

Only God Has The Final Say.

It doesn’t matter what it looks like. It doesn’t matter what it sounds like. It doesn’t matter who says what. If it doesn’t line up with the word of God, junk it! Only God has the final say!

We may make our plans, but God has the last word. Proverbs 16:1, GNT.

The most important factor in your life is not your background, job, race, education, income, or the opinion of others. The most important factor is knowing what God says concerning you.

Only God Has The Final Say!

A little faith in God trumps all the facts against you. Believe and refuse to bow to evidence that is contrary to that which you hoped for. That which is seen has been but that which is unseen is subjected to your faith.

So also will be the word that I speak—it will not fail to do what I plan for it; it will do everything I send it to do. Isaiah 55:11, GNT.

Feelings and opinions are not facts, and they don’t move God, He’s moved by our faith in Him.

Choices Divide

Choices Divide. Deal with it. Life as a Christian sometimes requires flying solo in our choices.

In life you don’t get to sit on the fence or plead the Fifth: not making a choice is a choice. There is no middle ground or playing safe, you are either for or against and as long as you are breathing, life presents you with choices.

When your life is defined by a set of principles you won’t pander to pressure.
Let people know what you stand for.

God presents us with a very important choice. Today I ask heaven and earth to be witnesses. I am offering you life or death, blessings or curses. Now, choose life! Then you and your children may live. Deuteronomy 30:19, NCV.

choices Divide

From Genesis to Revelations, we see the impact of choices for generations. From Abraham having Ismael to Jacob stealing his birth-right and Jesus choosing to lay his life down for the sins of the world.

When you gave your life to Christ you became a marked person. You are marked by the blood of Jesus Christ. You also caught the attention of the devil. Being a friend of Christ makes you an enemy of the devil and the world. Friends of my enemy are my enemies. Your choice will bring division from your friends and family. Be Ok with that.

Your choices matter and they carry consequences whether you know it or not. Every choices, words, and action produce an effect. Your thoughts, behaviors, and actions create specific effects that manifest and create your life as you know it. Nothing just happened!

You will never please everyone no matter how hard you try. Live to please God, not man.

Seek the face of God and his word. Do not take another decision without the leading of the Holy Spirit. Ask Him to guide you in all your ways and wait for instructions.

Every great dream you’ll ever achieve in life starts with a DECISION. You’ll never know what you can achieve until you make that critical choice.

In life, we have to make difficult choices. The right decisions won’t always feel good. Stop basing your decision on feelings alone. Have the courage to stand by your convictions, to do the right thing and stick to itThe more you love your choices, the less you’ll need others to validate them.

Your choices and decisions today will determine your destiny tomorrow. You have the power to change your life today! Think long-term when making a decision. Your destiny is in your hands.

You have the freedom to do whatever you like, but you must also be prepared to live with the consequences of your choice. God has given you a free will, be careful what you do with it.

Don’t be afraid to make difficult choices. You are one decision away from happiness.

In this season of your life, you don’t have time for trial and error. Time wasted may never be regained. You will hit the bulls-eye!

The decision to serve God is the most important decision you will ever make. This One decision will shape the direction of your life and be more decisive in future decisions.

There are many great opportunities ahead of you, ask God for discernment in making the right decision.

In order to live a life pleasing and glorifying to God, you’ll run the risk of making others angry and upset!

PRAYER: Lord, in my eagerness and desperation I’ve made wrong choices, forgive me and direct my heart back to you. Remove stubborn pride from my heart, help me to find my way back to you. I know nothing I’ve done can separate me from your love. I take comfort in your loving kindness and grace. Amen.

Lord, help me to see the things that you see, to hear your voice clearly today. Holy Spirit, help me to  discern the truth and make godly choices. Remove the veil from my heart and eyes so that I may listen and obey your instructions. Amen.

Question: Choices divide – Are you willing to become infamous for what your beliefs?

How Long Will You Mourn Your Disappointments?

In Samuel 16:1 God asked Samuel “How long will you mourn for Saul, seeing I have rejected him from reigning over Israel?

What about you: How long will you mourn? Think about it. List all your disappointments according to the year and do the maths.  How long more do you think you need?

God did not rebuke Samuel for mourning over Saul, but rather for the length of time. Grieving in itself is not bad. Mourning is good for the soul, a time to cry, a time to reflect and a time to heal.

A time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance. Ecclesiastes 3:4, NIV.

Mourning is a natural process of coming to terms with loss, pain, and regrets. Excessive grief may lead to death; fear of living, loneliness, sickness, mental breakdown and depression.

The goal of this post is not to undermine your pain, loss, suffering, heartache, and disappointment. I wrote about overcoming disappointments because I’ve overcome many through Christ Jesus who strengthened me. For many years I wore my regrets as a crutch and shame. I was miserable, in pain, denial and my life was on hold. I don’t wish that on anyone.

The goal of this post is to make you realize that on the other side of your disappointments there’s healing and freedom.

YOU: “Buky, you don’t understand what they did to me.
ME: You’re right, I don’t. But God does, and He wants to help you bury them.

In 1 Samuel 16:2 –  And Samuel said, “How can I go? If Saul hears it, he will kill me.” The fear of what if kept Samuel in mourning. What are you afraid of? What is your what if?

The Fear of “what if” has kept many locked up in their own self-created prison. Don’t let the fear of “what if” keep you from living and pursuing your dreams.

Lack Of Faith In God.
Disappointments are signs of a lack of faith and trust in God. You might say you love God, but do you really trust Him? If you believe Jesus is your personal savior and healer then why not trust Him with your hurt and pain. Take the focus off regrets, what they did to you, and look to Christ for your healing. Don’t you want to be set free? On the other side of your pain and disappointments is your healing.

Misplaced Faith In A Broken World
Our disappointments reveal our misplaced faith, hopes, and expectations in a broken world. We are broken people living in a broken world. Accept that everyone will disappoint you at some point in life. Be Ok with that. Know that you will disappoint everyone eventually. Be ready to forgive quickly, heal and let go.

The Past Is Gone and Done
Disappointment isn’t about the past; it’s about the present. What was done is in the past. Let go and move forward. Today is about the present. Don’t allow the past to steal, kill and destroy your life and any hope for the future God planned for you.

Choose Wholeness and Live
Mourn, cry out to God, weep, get some counseling, do whatever it takes for you to heal wholeheartedly. Don’t get stuck in life by dwelling in the past. No one can figure life out and by trying to make sense of everything will make life a living hell.

Sometimes life doesn’t make sense: bad things happen to innocent and kind people. I can’t make sense of the death of an infant, why some couple can have children and abandon them, while others fail in their efforts.

Don’t try to understand life. Live it! Don’t try to understand love. Move into love. Then you will know – and all that knowing will come out of your experiencing. The more you know, the more you know that much remains to be known. Osho

Who Might You Be?
The past only hurt if we keep revisiting painful memories! We don’t heal because we refuse to forgive and let go of emotional wounds and without them who are we. Who are we without them?

All the apologies in the world will not heal some of us. We’ve become addicted to our diseased past instead of learning from them. We’ve given our disappointments power of attorney rather than giving them over to God. Who are you without your crutches; shame, blame, pain, and regrets?

A Time To Heal.

Try Again.
But the Lord said, “Take a heifer with you, and say, ‘I have come to sacrifice to the Lord.’ Then invite Jesse to the sacrifice, and I will show you what you shall do; you shall anoint for Me the one I name to you. 1 Samuel 16:3

God instructed Samuel to try again and this time His way. Take a risk, take a step into the future. Samuel tried SEVEN times before He got the right son, David, who was not present at the time. I love the fact that the bible didn’t say that Samuel got it right at his first attempt.

Before I had my youngest son, Joshua, I had two miscarriages. After the second miscarriage, I was afraid if I were to conceive again I would be full of fear and not be able to celebrate or enjoy the pregnancy. God strengthened me, and I had a healthy and joyful pregnancy. If I had not tried again, I wouldn’t have my beautiful son and a testimony to encourage others.

Forgive Yourself: The truth is we are the hardest on ourselves. Forgive yourself for being too hard, unloving, unforgiving and overly critical of yourself. Forgive yourself for blaming and hating yourself. Forgive yourself for blaming God and not trusting Him with your fear and pain. Forgive yourself for making others a scapegoat: by blaming them and making yourself a victim.

Forgive Your Ex: We all have them; Ex-wife, husband, in-laws, fiancé, fiancée, girlfriend & boyfriend. Why stop there? Ex-business partner, employer, ex-best friend, etc.

They’ve hurt us, but we’ve learned valuable lessons from them. Let go of every attachment to past pain. Forgive and keep forgiving until you’re no longer in any pain, anger, and regret when you think about them. Stop allowing ghost from your past to steal your present joy.

As long as we hold on to negative emotions, we can’t fully embrace the hope we have in Christ Jesus, our new identity and purpose. Love in spite of rejection. Forgive in spite of past pain. Live joyfully with no regrets.

Prayer:
Dear God, I’m ready to put the past behind me. Lord, forgive me not trusting and accepting the gift of life. Today I choose to forgive myself and others, and I embrace your love, grace, and mercy. Thank you, God, for restoring my soul. Help me to turn my sorrow into joy, my mess into a message. Thank You, Lord, for the hope of a new future. Thank you, my Father, for saving me.

God Is Working Behind The Scenes.

Today we woke up to snow in Houston. Who knew! But seeing the joy and excitement on my children alone is well worth the freezing cold! It’s beginning to look like Christmas in Houston! Yeehaw!

snow day in Houston

The heavens declare the glory of God, and the skies announce what his
hands have made. Psalm 19:1, NCV.

All of God’s creations are evidence that He is at work behind the scenes and we are not aware of his timing.

At times it may seem like God is silent, distant, unreachable, and all our prayers are falling on deaf ears, but his creation bears witness to Him. God is at work behind the scenes and in his time, not ours, He will do that which He has promised.

This much I know: The time is still ticking away. We are still breathing. The sun and moon rise and set daily. The snow falls and melts away. The rain falls and dries up. Every night the stars shine in the sky. The word of God is forever settled in Heaven!

In the meantime, be still, trust Him, praise him and hold on to His promises. As it snowed overnight so shall your expectation, joy, blessing, and favor break forth suddenly in Jesus name. Amen!

Everyone Is Not Going In The Same Direction As You.

Are you questioning your direction in life: your path, career, and relationships? Are you tempted to abandon ship, settle and follow the path of least resistant? It’s Ok, we’ve all been there. It’s perfectly normal to re-evaluate your life occasionally.

What is God’s plan for you, your marriage, family, education, children, finances, relationships, and career? What dreams and visions have God put in your heart that won’t let go of you? What ideas has God-given to you to live a different lifestyle apart from the norm? These are the things you must do. That is where you will grow, flourish and shine! That is where you will come alive.

The path of the righteous is like the morning sun, shining ever brighter till the full light of day. Proverbs 4:18, NIV.

direction

Your current state or position may not be dripping in honey right now while it seems like everyone else are in their season. Don’t believe everything you think or see, things are not always as they seem. When I trying to conceive, all I saw were pregnant women everywhere. These days I hardly notice them.

The Truth

Everyone is not going in the same direction as you. Be OK with that. By sticking to your path and convictions, you’ll stand out from the crowd.

God has an exclusive path for you. Trust Him and follow His direction. There is a path named after you with everything you’ll need for the journey. Faithfulness in doing what God has called you to do is what will lead you to joy, contentment and before Kings.

Avoid Short-cuts

Keeping up with the Joneses, competing, copying and following another person’s path are shortcuts with hollow roads, paved with empty promises, regrets, painful lessons, self-hate, disappointments, and bitterness.

You won’t go wrong when you stick to God’s plan for you. Even if you make the wrong turn and decisions, God is able to redirect you back. Remember Joseph; despite the obstacles on his path, he overcomes them all and God fulfills His promises.

Overcome Self-doubt and Fear.

The route to your destiny is through the valley of self-doubt and fear, and may sometimes be lonely. Your path is for you alone and it will take courage in yourself to finish strong.

Don’t Believe the Lies.

That you are behind, time is running out, and you’re too old. Don’t let the enemy distract and talk you out of what is yours. There are no shortcuts to your destiny and any paths which offer an easy route is a deception.

Misery loves company and everyone has an agenda: Don’t allow friends and family to talk you out of God’s plan for your life.

Finally….

Keep exploring, keeping seeking and continue being faithful by following God’s chosen path for you.

Take your time while walking along your path, confront your fear and doubt your doubts, take in the scenery and learn the lessons. Hold on to the dreams, ideas, and vision; your due season is just around the corner. God has you here at this time for a reason and when you have been found faith, He will bless and reward you.

You Are Not Called To Do Everything.

As we approach the end of the year and one of the busiest season: Christmas. Don’t take on more than you can handle. Play to your strengths, not to your weaknesses. Everyone has a breaking point. No one is indestructible, take care of yourself.

For I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength. Philippians 4:13, NIV.

At this very moment, you have everything; you are alive and whole. What will be will be, but you can choose who you will be right now.

I can do all things through Christ, but I’m not called to do everything in the world.

So many places to be, things to do and juggle and so little time. Sometimes we don’t need to be everywhere, we just need to be at home. Sometimes doing nothing other than simply basking in God’s presence and spending time with our loved ones is what we are called to do.

This past Thanksgiving was the best so far! We did absolutely nothing, apart from hanging out together at home. We cooked together, we laughed and played together and we slept in later than normal. Hands down my favorite thing to do with my family.

If God has called you to do something, let Him lead you there.
Make time for God, yourself and your loved ones. You are not called to do everything. What God has called you to do, He will lead you to. You are not the one sending yourself, He will make a way for you.

Thank You God For Another Day.

How easily we forget the goodness of God and take each day for granted. Join me in thanking God for being alive another day.

God is at work setting things in motion. Even when we can’t see it, we must continue to trust and wait on Him. Be encouraged! Our best days are ahead of us.

Thank You God For Another Day.

Whatever you are going through I want you to keep in mind “God is already there.” He has gone ahead of you to make the crooked places straight. It is well.”

We can easily get caught up in the issues of life and drift away from the ONE we need the most. Make Christ the center of your life, He never drifts away from us. He is our ever-present Savior. He’s watching over you!

Thank You, God, for another glorious day. There are so many things to be thankful for and if I have a thousand tongues I couldn’t thank you enough. If You never bless me again you have blessed me enough, more than I deserve. Evening and morning and at noon, when I pray and cry aloud, You hear my voice. In You Lord, I hope, I trust and I surrender all. You are my God and King and You reign forever and ever!

Being Disliked and Misunderstood is Ok.

When you embrace God’s chosen path for you, expect to be disliked, misunderstood, judged, and sometimes rejected. It’s not personal. It’s life’s rite of passage – a process we would all experience. One day, you’ll look back in hindsight and gratitude.

When I gave my life to Christ, I really had no idea what I signed up for! For one, I didn’t expect to be disliked and misunderstood by my closest and dearest. Over time I’m learning to be ok with that because a servant is not greater than his master.

Remember the word that I said to you: ‘A servant is not greater than his master.’ If they persecuted me, they will also persecute you. If they kept my word, they will also keep yours. John 15:20, ESV.

In life, everyone will not like or accept you. You are not meant to be liked and understood by everyone. Be OK with that.

When you embrace God’s chosen path for you, expect to be disliked, misunderstood, judged and sometimes rejected.

At The End Of My Life

At the end of my life, I hope I can say I loved more than I was loved, I gave more than I received, I forgave more than I was forgiven, and I leave this world a tad better than I found it.

I belong To God.

I am God’s property, and I belong to Him alone. Knowing Whose I AM is the only reason I’ve made it this far.

“For a season, I forgot who I am and whose I Am. I don’t belong to me. I belong to God!”

In all my wandering, no matter how far off I’d gone from God, I always find my way back to Him. All roads led to Christ for those who are seeking redemption and grace.

And you belong to Christ, and Christ belongs to God. 1 Corinthians 3:23 (NCV)

Don’t lose yourself in the midst of this crazy world we must all travel through. Knowing who you are in Christ is what will keep you anchored to God alone, and no matter what life throws your way, He will not fail you.

I am God's property, and I belong to Him alone. Knowing Whose I AM is the only reason I've made it this far.

You are MORE THAN A CONQUEROR! From today onwards, think like a conqueror! Speak like a conqueror! Walk like a conqueror! You are a CONQUEROR!

God Will Never Give Up On You.

QOTD: Call On Jesus.

Before you reach for the phone, pick up your bible. Before you call a friend, call on Jesus. In every season, Jesus Christ is truly the only friend who sticks closer than a brother.

In every season call on Jesus

Seen. Heard. Loved.

Everyone you meet wants to be seen, heard and loved. Loving someone does not mean you are in agreement with them. Love is a commandment, not an option.

The greatest need in the world is not money: It’s love! To love and be loved in return is what everyone longs for. The Majority of the world’s problem can be traced back to not being seen, heard and loved. After many years of being ignored, it can only turn a person into acts of hatred. You can’t give what you don’t have. A good man brings good things out of the good stored up in him, and an evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in him. Matthew 12:35, NIV. Stand in the gap and intercede, lives will be transformed. Prayer works!  God still hears and answers prayers. Let us pray.

Before they call I will answer; while they are yet speaking I will hear. Isaiah 65:24, ESV.

It’s Time To Come Out From Hiding.

It’s time to come out from among them and stop hiding behind things that keep us living in sin bondage and a life less than God’s best, stepping into the Light, Truth, Sonship, Purpose, and Destiny.

Dear Friends, Nobody is coming to rescue you. No one is coming to save you. Sorry to burst your bubble single ladies: Prince Charming is not coming on a white horse to rescue you. And to my married sisters: Two lost people cannot become whole and one just because they put a ring on it. And my Brother, you know what time it is: It is time for you to step into your rightful place and divine calling. The world is waiting, and eternity is waiting for you to be revealed.
