Your Life Is Your Journey.

Life Is A Journey

Life Is A Journey

Life is a series of events; your life is your journey. Take your time to learn the lessons, grow deep roots that can withstand the storms of life.

It has taken us years to get into the mess we are in now, yet we think in a matter of days or weeks we should be out of it. It doesn’t always work like that, anyone who tells us otherwise is lying.

“You don’t have to get it perfect, you just have to get it going. Babies don’t walk the first time they try, but eventually they get it right”― Jack Canfield

All of our hardwork today are seeds for tomorrow’s harvest. Don’t even think of giving up now. You have come this far. Hold tight. Breath in. Smile.

Your current position may not be what you envisioned, but come to think about it, many men and women have overcome obstacles despite the oppositions. In this season of your life, you don’t have time for wishful thinking, do the work that ought to be done. Use this time to lay a strong foundation and allow God to build your character.

Don’t get discouraged with the daunting task ahead of you. The Lord is pleased with every effort. Rejoice. You are being prepared for greatness!

Do not despise these small beginnings, for the LORD rejoices to see the work begin! (Zech 4:10 NLT)

Others may have written you off, but God will never give up on you.  Fear not for Your God is with you till the end.  Amen.

Start Your Day Right

I start my day with prayer and by telling God,“This is a great life. Lord, You have outdone yourself. My life is so great, if I wasn’t living it myself I would be jealous of ME.” Wow! God has truly blessed me more than I deserve!

Always start your day with a great and positive attitude. Change the way you think, it will change the way you see the world and people. God gave you AUTHORITY over everything, including your thoughts. Use your power to change your world. Your world is waiting for a command. RULE!

God’s Word For You Today.

“Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruits.” (Prov 18:21 ESV)

Be the one that speaks life into your destiny. Stop waiting for others to prophesy on you. You have a God-given authority to speak and change your life with your words. Open your mouth and prophesy great things.

Beloved, nothing happens overnight. Speak life continuously and do the work directly related to your confession. There are brighter days ahead of you!

“Never say anything about yourself you don’t want to come true” ― Brian Tracy.

Live Your Life.

You alone can decide how great and fabulous your day will be. Nobody else can do that. It’s your life, knock yourself out. Make it a great life, one day at a time.

How do you start your day?

Then the devil said to Him, If You are the Son of God, order this stone to turn into a loaf of bread.  Luke 4:3 (AMP)

You do not need to prove anything to anyone. Let them doubt your ability, it does not matter because you know who you are in Christ and who God has called you to be. Jesus knew his position in God and that was why the devil did not hurt his feeling or make him feel less of who he was by the question he posed to Him. Jesus had power and great self-control to not show off his capability. He humbly let the enemy know  – I know who I am and I don’t have to make you see who I am. You know who I am and you just want me to doubt myself. Never let the word of God depart from your mouth and heart. Respond to the enemy with what God has written about your situation.

We should always have a scripture for each day to meditate on. This is the only way we can build ourselves up and have a renewed mind. A lot of people don’t achieve great things because they doubt themselves. Doubt will come and people will even second guess you, but focus on what God has said concerning you and believe that to be the only truth about you. Ask for God’s Grace, Wisdom, & Favor every single day of your life. It is in these 3 that you can successfully navigate through each day.

Meditation
I am the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus  2 Corinthians 5:21

Prayer of Salvation
Dear God, I am sorry for my sins, forgive me, Lord. I receive you as my Lord today, I welcome you into my life to guide and lead me forever. I believe in my heart and confess with my mouth that Jesus Christ is Lord. Thank you for saving me today in Jesus’s name – Amen!

Hold Fast To Your Confession.

Hold Fast To Your Confession

Hold Fast To Your Confession

I create my own reality with my thoughts and confessions. It’s a great life. You should give it a try! Keep speaking what you desire, with time you will have it. It’s not a magic, these are simple spiritual laws that anyone can benefit from.

We must not waver in our faith, even when we do not see the answers yet. Let’s  hold on to our confessions because in due time it will manifest. Remember the Shunammite woman in 1st Kings, she kept on saying, “It is well”, even when her son was lying dead.

Remember the Shunammite woman in 1st Kings, she kept on saying, “It is well”, even when her son was lying dead.

We have the mind of Christ, we can not afford to entertain negative thoughts. Let’s take charge, and be in control of our thoughts. Filter and dump any thoughts that are not uplifting or shaping your destiny.

I’d be lying if I say it’s easy, on my own it’s difficult but with Christ, it is so much easier. Give it a try by the hour, then daily. Keep moving forward regardless of the present circumstances.

With God it’s easier, we can’t depend on our strength alone. Giving up is not the end, you can always get back up again.

Hold fast to God’s promises!

God is not slack concerning His promises.

” For I am confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus”. (Phil 1:6 NASB)

Put an end to every thought of lack and start thinking abundance. You have everything you need for RIGHT NOW. Use what you already have! Be thankful, You are God’s Masterpiece.

Let us not deceive one another. There are going to be tough times, but tough times has never met Someone like YOU before

You were created for such a time as this. The battle is the Lord, maintain your position. Storms never last. I see you coming out stronger and better!

Dont Miss Your Breakthrough

Dear Beloved,

Baal-perazim. Lord of the Breakthrough

September is our month of breakthrough and  one key ingredient for this  experience  is us  running to Jesus desperately.  How many of us have issues that are beyond our power, life issues that are simply out of our grasp; I do and it is only a breakthrough from God that can do the rescue.

I know that  on our own we cannot victoriously fight against  strongholds, principalities, powers and the rulers of the darkness of this world;hence we need the Lord of breakthroughs.

As recorded in Mark 2: 1-12, it was sheer desperation that drove the paralytic man and his friends go through the roof to get to Jesus. Jesus healed the paralytic man and He will do the same for you this month. Amen.

Jesus Christ is the Lord of  Breakthrough

The world sees desperation as a terrible thing but Jesus sees it differently. Jesus Christ sees desperation as a urgent plea for help and believe me He is moved. Desperation was what drove the woman with the issue of blood, it was what motivated Hannah in Shiloh to pray like a drunk, I pray in this season may we not miss our miracles and breakthroughs  in Jesus name. Amen

Yours truly,
Buky Ojelabi

Let Us Pray

Heavenly Father, I declare You are “Baal-Perazim” – Lord of the Breakthrough. The Lord will breakdown every wall of opposition, every stubborn problem in your life today. The Lord will breakthrough every spiritual barriers holding you back in Jesus name, Amen.

Lord, make this month a “September to Remember.” AMEN.

Friend to Friends

I am just going to say it! Let’s just go there! We have got to PRAY for ourselves, enough of relying on people to talk to OUR Father on our behalf.

Bukville

Bukville

It’s okay  when people pray for us, but our personal prayers are the most effective and powerful.  God wants to hear us speak to Him, He wants to be the One we pour our hearts to. We are His Beloved, dearly loved, greatly loved, very dear to His heart and He longs to hear our voice. * You are loved. Talk to HIM Now!

“Never Stop Praying” – 1 Thess 5:17 NLT

Prayer is not a legalistic ritual, it’s a lifestyle. Prayer is talking to God, getting in agreement with heaven. Prayer is cooperating with God to bring about His plan. Prayer moves the Hand that moves the world. Prayer is the confidence that we have in God, that if we ask anything according to His will He hears us. (1 John 5:14)

“Prayer moves the hand which moves the world.” J.A. Wallace

Bukville

Our  faith in our prayers  have the trendmous  power to move mountains. If we  can’t have faith in our own  prayers,  how can we even believe that someone else’s prayers will be answered!

Are You A Friend of God?

Abraham was called a friend of GOD (James 2:23), because of his intimate relationship with God. Abraham was obedient and faithful to God. True friends who love one another have intimate conversation, they chitchat and visit with each other.

Direct Access to God 24/7

Prayer gives us  direct access to Alpha and Omega, God Himself! We don’t have to go through anyone, I mean anyone, not even pastors!

“No man is greater than his prayer life.” – Leonard Ravenhill

BukvillePrayer with God is Private and Confidential.

God is a secret keeper, whatever we tell Him in confidence will never be heard by a third party, isn’t that wonderful?Prayer is intimacy with God. Whatever you tell God in secret will never be heard elsewhere! Your prayers with God are private and confidential. Friends, go ahead and pour your heart out.

The Best Part of Prayer

Now, this is the best and coolest part of prayer. Since it’s a conversation, it takes two people to be involved, it is not a monologue at all. When God talks back to us, it literally changes everything forever, that is the best moment ever! That moment God speaks back to us is when we get hooked forever.

So what are you waiting for? Fasten your seat belt and get ready for your life to be transformed.

Dont Give Up Too Soon

Most of us don’t get what we want because we quit praying. We give up too easily. Don’t give up too soon. Don’t stop praying, your miracle is too near for you to quit now.

And let us not grow weary of doing good for in due season we will reap if we do not give up. Galatians 6:9, ESV.

God's word for you today

Don’t allow your current situation to determine your Faith. Your Faith is what sets you apart. Your circumstance is not your life! – Dr. Renny Mclean.

Dear friends, even in the middle of the worst storm of your life, YOU are not alone. You may think how can you I make it through this marriage, sickness, unemployment or financial struggle? You are NOT alone and God is about to TURNAROUND your situation. Hallelujah!

A Prayer For September

In this month of September I am believing God for Miracle and Breakthrough. We serve a faithful God who gives to all generously and without reproach. Will you come into agreement with me and let us believe God for greater things to come?

Get your hope and expectation up. Hit the ground running. Don’t expect anything to be handed to you. Go after what belongs to you! Are you ready to receive everything that God has for you in this month of September?

Let Us Pray.

Heavenly Father,

Thank You Lord for keeping me through the month of August. Lord I am grateful to see the new month of September.

I declare the month of September as my month of miracle and breakthrough. I receive every blessing tied to September for my life. I declare September as my seasons of joy and celebrations I shall dance with joy and celebrate all of your blessings for my life.

Welcome September

September To Remember

Father God, I will operate under an open heaven and your blessings shall overtake me and my family. Amen. Grant me wisdom and uncommon ideas for breakthrough on every decision I have to make.

Lord, I pray for your peace to reign in our world today, and to grant the world leaders, wisdom to walk side by side in peace in Jesus name’ amen.

Lord, make this month a September to remember. AMEN

We Are All Worshippers

Worship is an expression of our love to God. Worship is not about songs or instruments, it’s our personal appreciation to God.

Worship changes the worshiper into the image of the One worshiped. – Jack Hayford

We are created to worship God, in fact, it is our first purpose in the world.

“You are worthy, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, because you made all things. Everything existed and was made, because you wanted it.”
Revelation 4:11, NCV.

“The greatest worship songs are not on the Billboard, neither are they on public display at concerts. They are not written on a paper, they are offered in private worship to a great God.
These songs are written on our hearts.. “- Buky Ojelabi

We Are All Worshippers

“Let every thing that hath breath praise the Lord. Praise ye the Lord.” Psalms 150:6

Be selective in what you watch and listen to. A great TIP on how to take charge of the atmosphere in your homes is by listening to gospel music. All the radios in my home are on the same channel 24/7 – KSBJ.org Our children from birth have been listening to praise and worship songs.
Nothing makes my heart smile than to see my 2-year-old son lifting up holy hands to God through Chris Tomlin & Israel Houghton songs.  Imagine how God must feel?

Come One. Come All
If you are thirsty, Come to the Source of Living Water.
Come and drink, you will never thirst again.
Come, everyone who is thirsty, come to the waters!
Come to the Well and be filled.
Come to Jesus; Fountain of Living Water

Can I be honest with you? I am blessed with many gifts but singing isn’t one of them. If I sing out loud at church, others may flee. Lol. Seriously, that has never stopped me!

I am not very good with lyrics, I tend to sing many songs together since I can’t remember the next verse or chorus. Guess what I do? I make up my own songs, yes I do. You may add singer, songwriter to my list of talents.

Lately, I’ve started to record some of my songs. My children love them and I can’t seem to remember them the next time, Duh!

The children are having a blast just rejoicing in His presence. We are raising a family of worshippers; catch them young. You can do the same too.

There you go, you have no reason not to worship the King of kings. Make up your own personal songs and give a performance to your audience of One, Jesus Christ.

Let Us Pray
Lord, I am desperate for You, let the sound of heaven invade my heart. Let your Shekinah glory fill this temple. I surrender all to You my Lord, my Savior. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

God Honors Specific Prayers

Dear friends,

God’s desire is to bless us more than our expectations. God needs us to be more specific in our prayers; down to the details. I pray you will see tremendous results this season in Jesus name.  Amen.

God deals with specificity, He honors people who pray with focus, like the case of the blind man Bartimaeus. He cried out in a loud voice,”Thou Son of David, have mercy on me.”, Mark 10:47. Jesus then asked him, “What do you want me to do for you?” In other words, Jesus was asking Bartimaeus to hit the nail on the head, asking for mercy is too broad – mercy for what?

“Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you received it, and it will be yours.” ( Mark 11:24, ESV)

As God’s children, we have to understand that praying is an act of faith. We don’t need to be timid, boldness is important in our prayers to God. We have to pray for the impossible, He is God Almighty. Pray in Faith, Pray for His will to be done, believe and you shall receive!

God Honors Specific Prayers

God Honors Specific Prayers

A general, vague and broad prayer shows a lack of faith.

When we pray specific prayers, we put God’s reputation on the line, we make Him want to break boundaries to help us. Today, put God’s word to test today, He is not intimidated by any of our prayers, in fact, it’s an occasion for Him to show off.

Praying specific prayers allows us to see precisely how great God is. How will you know when your prayer is answered if you are not specific?

Asking God for abundance is too general, friends. It is like asking for an illusion, its time to take the bull by the horn.

You do not have because you do not ask.” (James 4:2b, NASB). A general prayer is not asking!

Asking God to bless you with a job is a general prayer. There are many jobs out there, choose one!

Praying specific prayers will help us to understand what our needs are and which ones are important.

A Personal Testimony

We went through a season where it was difficult retaining a nanny for our children. This made me think deeply about the qualities I wanted in a nanny and why the frequent changes.

Once I identify our needs and the person to fit the role, I was able to pray specifically for the person that will be a great addition to our family. I also kept a journal to keep track of my prayers.

Not too long after my specific prayers, I met a wonderful woman at church. After a brief introduction,  the rest is history. It’s been over a year now and she is not just a nanny, she is a part of our family and grandma to our children. I have found in her a prayer partner, mamma, friend, an encourager and a restorer of the broken bridge.

Thank You, Lord, for blessing us with Mama Gloria!

So what are you waiting for? Get on and be specific with your prayers. Don’t forget to give God all the glory!

You Are Not Called To Everyone

Its true, you are not called to everyone If you get this one thing settled in your spirit my friends; you will handle rejection better knowing there are many more fish in the sea!

You are NOT the Holy Spirit. Your are not called to everyone. You can’t save everyone. Do your part and leave the rest to the Holy Spirit.

As new converts, we are eager to share the love of Christ with the world. It can be frustrating and disappointing when others won’t embrace the Good News of Jesus Christ.

Willing Hearts

It’s only natural when you’ve been delivered from the power of darkness to save others and so they can taste how great life is in the light of God. But sadly you can’t save everyone.

You can’t do it all in your own power and most importantly you can’t get offended. It’s not personal.

Jesus warned His disciples of rejection and we must not be discouraged in sharing the good news. Folks, it’s not about you, so don’t be offended.

August: The Month of Unprecedented Blessings

Happy New Month.

August! The month of Unprecedented blessings.

An uncommon God will disperse uncommon blessings, uncommon favor and uncommon harvest.

I am believing God for the unheard-of, unusual, unique and new things – so shall it be in Jesus’ Name.

 August Blessings

Prayer;

Father, you made Sarah laughed at Isaac’s birth. Lord, cause me to laugh and take sorrow away from me.

For I know the plans I have for you declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

I decree No more delay in the performance of God promises in my life. I come against every force hindering the performance of God’s word over your life.

You are created to be a King and a not pauper. You shall lack nothing good. God will enlarger your coast, family, business and finances in the name of Jesus.

You will enjoy unending peace in all areas of your life. Your life, marriage and business shall encounter the peace of God.

Father, according to your word, send your showers of blessing upon my life, family, business, finances.

This month of August is my month of open doors and new things. Every perfect gift and blessing from God for me shall not pass me by in Jesus’ name.

Happy Month of August – The month of Unprecedented blessings

Note2Self: Forgive Yourself.

It is often easier to forgive others than to forgive ourselves. How long will you continue to punish and beat yourself over something that Jesus Christ has paid the price for?

We’ve all done things in the past we’re not proud of. God is your Judge, not man. Forgive yourself and the people who are judging you. We’re all in need of God’s mercy and grace.

1 John 1:9, “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”

Forgive yourself today! Your past is gone and buried; there is nothing you can do about it. You can’t go back and re-write your history. There is no future in the past.

To forgive is to set a prisoner free and discover that the prisoner was you.
– Lewis B. Smedes

Stopping waiting for others to forgive you.  For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God (Rom 3:23 ESV). Look to Jesus for forgiveness, not man. In time others may forgive you but most importantly you need to forgive yourself. Let it go today!

It’s Not All About You

Shhh… It’s not all about you!

Do you ever find yourself battling inner thoughts relating to other people? Are you trying to figure out why your friends said this or that? Shhh… It’s not all about you!

How many times have you wasted energy on things you will never figure out? Shhh… It’s not all about you.

Ever wondered why a friend won’t reply your text or phone calls. Noticed someone acting strange? Maybe, just maybe it’s not about you!

Let people be if they choose to be strange, it’s ok. We are all strange at times. Sometimes people have bigger fish to fry than we think. Say a little prayer for them and go about your business.

We waste so much time and energy on issues that are of no value to us. Stop it! It’s really not all about you.

For who knows a person’s thoughts except the spirit of that person, which is in him? So also no one comprehends the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God. (1 Cor 2:11 ESV)

You will never understand why people do what they do. I can assure you everything is not all about you.

Overthinking and analyzing someone else’s life and business is a sign of an ineffective
use of our time. Mind your own business and if you don’t have one, start one.

I cannot tell you how many years of my life I’ve wasted trying to figure out why someone didn’t respond to my email, or text encouraging him or her. Why no one left a comment on my blog. Why this, why that and why? Jeez! Get over it, get over yourself Buky – It’s not all about you!

Here is what Jesus said to Peter when He wasn’t minding his business.

21 Peter, seeing him, said to Jesus, “But Lord, what about this man?” 22 Jesus said to him, “If I will that he remain till I come, what is that to you? You follow Me.” John 21:21-22, NKJV.

So the next time you find yourself once again down that road, tell yourself  “What is that to you?”. Pray and keep moving on.

It works for me all the time.

Bukville Bites: Welcome June

In this month of June may you have a divine encounter with the Lord and may your life never remain the same.

An encounter with God is better than any theology, preaching or second hand account of events.

Our lives are shaped by our experiences but an encounter with God will trump a lifetime of experiences.

I had heard of you by the hearing of the ear, but now my eye sees you (Job 42:5 ESV)
