Go Directly To God

Go directly to God. Do not lean on anyone’s understanding. Man and religion cannot save, heal or deliver, only through Christ. For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus. 1 Timothy 2:5, KJB.

I am all for Church and fellowship with others. But going to Church alone does not make you a Christian. Going to Church alone does not make you a child of God. Going to church without having a personal relationship with God, equate to Works. You cannot buy your way into God’s affection, favor and blessings through works. That is why many Christians are giving up on churches because all their best efforts to live the Christian life failed. There is salvation in no one else! God has given no other name under heaven by which we must be saved. Act 4:12, NLT.

Go directly to God. These are not the days of Moses. We are living in the dispensation of the Holy Spirit. Get to know God for yourself. Talk to God, cry out to Him. Spend time with God in quietness. God wants to talk to you and you can hear His voice. My soul waits in silence for God only; From Him is my salvation. Psalm 62:5, NASB.

Think about this: You already know the voices of your pastors, Christian leaders and what good has that done for you? Isn’t it time you know God’s voice for yourself?

Follow Jesus Christ alone. God’s word is the same yesterday, today and forever. The only one we can trust is the Holy Spirit. Man’s theology and doctrine will constantly change with time. We can always count on the Holy Spirit to speak the mind of God. Go directly to GOD!

I pray today you will cry out to God “Show Me Your Glory.” God will honor the cry of a desperate heart, diligently hungry for more of Him. Enough of man’s theology and religion in your life. More of Yeshua our Messiah. Amen.

Do Your Part.

It only takes ONE person to shine the light. Be the light, be the voice of encouragement. Your contribution is the only part that matters the most, you are fulfilling divine purpose by actively doing your part.

At 13 years old, I lost my father through a car accident – our lives changed. My world changed. As a child, I was blindsided. My life as I knew it was never the same again. I was forced to grow up pretty quickly. I was thrust into a life I was not prepared for and I was alone in my thoughts.

Almost everyone from my father’s side of the family disappeared! Totally! We went from having numerous families’ visitation and yearly vacations to naught.

Here’s the game changer. Here is where your part matters. Here is how you can show up big-time for others, even just doing the minimum.

I had this one Uncle; we call him Dupe’s Dad – Mr. Abiona. He was the only relative from my Dad’s side of the family who visited us faithfully every year. . He might have visited us more than once, but faithfully he never missed visiting us around a festive holiday e.g. Easter / Christmas. He would always turn up with his family bearing gifts and spending quality time with us. He would ask about my schoolwork and grades, and made me promise him that by his next visit I would have improved even more. When leaving He would always give us money, as it was the custom. Writing this makes me teary even now. My Uncle is now deceased.

My uncle did his part. It may not have seemed much to him but to my mum and me, it was HUGE! And that’s what we all ought to do – OUR PART.

Don’t sit on the fence thinking little old me what can I do. Just do your part! Learn to do good; Seek justice, Reprove the ruthless, Defend the orphan, Plead for the widow. Isaiah 1:17, NASB.

No one can do your part. Your part is all that matters. We all have the same 24 hours. Make every day count. Make a difference in someone’s life. Little is much when God’s in it.

Who has God been tugging on your heart to visit, call or text? Do it today. Tomorrow may be too late. When you give to the poor, it is like lending to the Lord, and the Lord will pay you back. Proverbs 19:17, GNT.

Years later, after I’d been through the school of hard knocks. I was living in London, working and fending for myself. One of my Uncle reached out to me – extending an olive branch. I was not in the mood. I’ve lost faith in the so-called “village”. Bitterness and unforgiveness had taken root in my heart. And I wasn’t prepared to step down from my sanctimonious throne. I enjoyed playing the victim and that story was working for me.

I rejected his hand of friendship. I was lacking in grace and wisdom. You see I’d tasted the dark side of life, learned how to depend on myself, and my heart was closed off. Little girls may have grown up but they become wounded, jaded and untrusting. Now by God’s grace I know better.

God has placed all the help we need around us. We just need to get our fingers out and do our part. It’s really that simple. Don’t complicate things. Just Do Your Part. Everyone can help someone, because everyone has something to offer.

May the Lord open your eyes, touch your heart and lead you to someone who desperately needs your time, love, listening ears, a shoulder to cry on, some words of encouragement or anything your can offer. Your anything is more than enough for someone. Do the minimum. Don’t’ over commit yourself. Be a ray of sunshine in someone’s nightmare. Blessed is he that considers the poor: the LORD will deliver him in time of trouble.
Psalm 82:3, AKJV.

If You Want Some Good News Read The Bible.

The World is full of fake and sad news. If you want some Good News read the Bible.

Now, brothers and sisters, I want you to remember the Good News I brought to you. You received this Good News and continue strong in it. 2 And you are being saved by it if you continue believing what I told you. If you do not, then you believed for nothing. 1 Corinthians 15:1-2, NCV.

We are living in perilous time. There is hardly a day gone by that we are not bombarded with fake and sad news. We are overwhelmed, and fast becoming desensitized to news in general.

It’s been 6 years since we cut off Cable TV. Yay! We still have access to local TV, and we get by with Roku TV.

Gone are the days when Television was something to cheer you up after a long day. Television is nothing but a marketing ploy that tell lies to your vision and dull your senses.  So if you are looking for some Good News read the Bible. Get the old concordance out and make some notes.

The word of God is all you need. What better than the Good News of Jesus Christ? Think about it: A book was written just for you! To guide, instruct and teach you in the way to go. Your personal owner’s manual. The Word of God gives life to dead bones. Makes the weak become strong. Gives hope to the simple and set the captive free. Take your pick; the Bible is full of Good News – Our Daily Bread.

The next time you find yourself channel surfing – that’s your cue to drop the remote control and pick up the Good News. Take it chapter by chapter; it will keep your heart tender, sensitive and humble. Out of you will flow rivers of living water. You will have peace like a river even when the world is going crazy, you will be as stable as a rock. Unleash the word of God like a grenade and it will illuminate your Body, Soul and Spirit.

If there is such a time when we’re in dire need of the Good News, it’s now. The world systems are fast changing, failing, it makes a mockery of the our education and financial system.

Only I can tell you the future before it even happens. Everything I plan will come to pass,
for I do whatever I wish. Isaiah 46:10

What do you have to lose? What else is there?

Grace For Today

Embrace your season, for there you will find the grace for today.

I am thankful for every day, but I’m partial to Saturday. It’s like my morning off, I get to stay in bed while my husband is in charge. Dad’s homemade pancakes are the highlight of our week. Our children are learning that marriage is a teamwork. They have the front role seats in our marriage and they are most likely to replicate what they see in our home.

It hasn’t always been this way: for the first 7 years of our married life, my husband’s job took him all over the world. I’m talking Africa, North America, Europe, India, and Russia. Those days were tough on us as a family, the children were younger and we had never been down that path before. We were apart for weeks and sometimes a whole month. We sailed through because we had God’s grace for that season and the same vision for our family. We never lost sight of each other and extending grace to one another along the way. Although apart, we both knew we were contributing and committed to our vision from afar.

And he said to me, My grace is sufficient for you: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest on me. 2 Corinthians 12:9, AKJB.

Taking it one day at a time is how we are meant to navigate this life. You have all the strength, wisdom, inspiration and perseverance for today. No matter what you are going through and the giant in your path, if you focus on now, you can handle it. There is a saying “How do you eat an elephant: One bite at a time.

God has made available to you a portion of grace just for today. Use it. Through grace, you will find contentment. Grace keeps us humble by daily learning to trust in God for everything and never leaning on our understanding.

God has given us the grace for each day. We are not promised tomorrow, only today. His grace is sufficient for today only. Stop investing your hopes and dreams in an uncertain future. God never promised you tomorrow only today.

Surrender, relinquish control to God – start afresh today!

May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with all of you.  2 Corinthians 13:14, NIV.

You Get Back What You Put In.

This child of mine does not like getting her hair washed. And she refuse to have it cut. She wants to have her cake and eat it too. 🙄.  All she has to do is to sit down while I do the work. #NaturalHairDrama

God is not a magician with a magic wand. – Pope Francis

Isn’t that how we are with God? We don’t want to spend time doing Bible study and praying, but we want God to shower us with blessings beyond measure! We want something for nothing. Oh well how is that working out for you? You will get back what you put in it.

“I will do the very thing you have asked, because I am pleased with you and
I know you by name.”
(Ex 33:17, NIV)

Sometimes in life, you have to do the very thing you don’t enjoy to have the life you desire.

La Fin. The End!

God’s Way Or No Way!

There is only one way: God’s way. Its God’s way or no way. A relationship with God is based on His terms and conditions. You cannot walk with God hoping to fulfill your agenda. It’s God’s way or No way! It’s not about us; It has never been about us. All along God has been waiting for your and I to figure out — IT’S ALL ABOUT HIM!

Can two walk together, unless they are agreed? Amos 3:3

God's way

Like a father He’s full of mercy and grace. When we were little children He treated us as such; He fed us with milk because we couldn’t digest solid food and meat. Now, as adults, He’s given us room to roam around to discover our strengths and gifts but to lean on Him for our weaknesses and calling. There is only so far we can go without Him. We cannot obtain our inheritance without fulfilling His terms and conditions.

There are no shortcuts to a relationship with God. We can’t pick and choose how we relate or communicate with God. It’s God way: Prayer, fellowship, worship, meditation and studying His word are some of the different ways He chooses to communicate. If we truly desire to know God, we must surrender and submit to His will, way and purpose.

You have the freedom to do whatever you like, but you must also be prepared to live with the consequences of your choice. God has given you a free will, be careful what you do with it.

Question
Can two walk together, unless they are agreed?

Finding Your Happy Place

What Is Your Happy Place?
Your happy place can be a person, thing, place, or event.  It’s where you come alive, inspired, a safe haven to retreat and find solace.

You are not designed to flourish in every terrain.
When you find your happy place, you will find your people.

Don’t Know When And What To Pray About?

Prayer is whatever you make of it. It can be boring, exciting or tedious. In this post I’ve put  together some ideas regarding when and what to pray about. Let’s make prayer fun and exciting again! Enjoy!

Pray when you’re afraid.
Pray when you’re confused.
Pray when you’re happy.
Have a set time for prayer.
Pray when you are desperate.
Pray when you’re happy.
Keep praying when you’re sick.
Pray for others.
Pray when you’re driving.
Pray over your children
Pray when you’re weak.
Pray for yourself.
Pray for your employer.
Pray for clarity and wisdom.
Pray for your country.
Pray for those who persecute you.
Pray especially for those who annoy you.
Keep praying when life doesn’t make sense.
Pray until prayer becomes second nature.  Pray when you don’t feel like praying. Read books on prayer.

Offer to pray at any opportune time. Keep records of your prayers. Start a prayer group. Pray the scriptures. Go on prayer walk. Start a prayer line. Tell others the impact of prayer in your life. Pray for the lost. Pray in tongues; in the spirit. Pray in the name of Jesus. Pray in secret. Pray according to the Word of God. Pray in faith. Confess your sins in prayer. Pray with a pure heart. Keep prayer simple and specific. Pray with expectations. Pray for the peace of Jerusalem. Pray for the will of God. Keep praying. Prayer works. Never stop praying!

Prayer is our spiritual exercise. No equipment or gym membership required.
You can pray anytime and anywhere. Why not pray right now!

On My Knees

On my knees, life cannot put its limit on me. The natural man cannot comprehend the ways of God.

For this reason I bow my knees before the Father. Ephesians 3:14, ESV.

On My Knees

On my knees, I can do anything.
On my knees, I can see the invisible.
On my knees, I can dream the impossible.

There are no mountains I cannot climb.
There are no walls too high.
There is no Goliath that can’t be slain.
On my knees, there are no enemies.

On my knees there are answers.
My victory is promised.
Angels are released.
When I traveled on my knees.

As long as I remain on my knees, nothing is impossible. Secret things are revealed. There is fresh oil in my pen. I can withstand attacks because, on my knees, I am bulletproof.

Start the day on your knees. Come and see what great and mighty things you do not know. Get ready to be transformed. Let’s go places we’ve never been before. Are you ready?

Come, let us worship and bow down, Let us kneel before the LORD our Maker. Psalm 95:6, NLT.

Clarity: What Do You Want And Why?

Do you have clarity about what you want and why?

clarity

What Is Clarity?
Clarity is knowing what you want and why. Clarity is not the absence of fear; It is the ability to own your stuff while being present in your own life.

What do you want and why. Isn’t that what we are all trying to figure out? When you understand your what and why – the answer will come.  Continue reading

This World Is Not Your Home You Are A Visiting Guest

It’s easy to get worked up and forget that this world is not your home you are a visiting guest. Savor the memories and pack light! My friend, you are passing through, this isn’t your final destination!

Life is a temporary experience to be enjoyed, not held on to.
Don’t take life too seriously.
Do not let life have you, hold loosely
to the things of the world; otherwise,
it would break you.

Life is too vast for you to handle by yourself. The world was here before you and will remain after you are gone. The cares, burdens, and worries of this world are not for you to carry: It will break your heart, body, and spirit if you try. This world is not your home, you are a visiting guest. Savor the memories and pack light!

Set your mind and keep focused habitually on the things above [the heavenly things], not on things that are on the earth [which have only temporal value]. Colossians 3:2, (AMP)

Life is full of uncertainties, but nothing is a surprise to God. He holds the whole world in His hands. Set your mind and affection on Christ alone. Love what God loves, and hate what He hates.

Giving Up Is Not An Option!

Giving up is not an option for me. I’ve been there before and it’s not a pretty place. It’s dark, lonely and depressing. I’m not going back! I pray and hope you’ll never find yourself there. May you never give up on yourself, family, friends, hopes and dreams.

For some of us it takes many times to get it right. But who is counting, judging and pointing a finger? Not Jesus!. Pick yourself up and try again and again. Never give up! Winners never quit!

Others may have given up, you don’t have to. Your trust is in the Maker of heaven and earth, the Ruler of everything.

Don’t give up simply because life doesn’t make sense. Life is best lived forward but understood backward. Your life is in God’s hands and He will direct your path.

Whenever the thought of giving up comes to your mind. Think of all the naysayers who told you “you will not succeed” and those who did not support you. That should fill you up with renewed energy to carry on. Everyone serves a purpose in your life, use it effectively!

Opposition may delay your dream, but they cannot kill your dream. If you don’t give up. The opposition to your dream today, may also position you ahead to fulfill your dream. If you don’t give up!

PRAYER: Dear God, Thank You for the ways and times You’ve been faithful. So many times I’ve doubted You. But God, your love is relentless, never give up on me. So many times I’ve felt unworthy. Thank You for the countless times and chances you have made a way when it looks like a dead-end. You are worthy of praise and honor. Amen!

We Need One Another

You are not alone. All our lives are interwoven. Don’t believe the lies that you don’t need anyone and you can do life by yourself. God loves to use people to further His Kingdom assignment. You are part of God’s big plan. Don’t go it alone! We need one another.

Don’t Do Life Alone
You are not designed to function in isolation. You are wired for fellowship and relationship with God and His children. You are part of a body; an incomplete body cannot perform to its full potential. You matter!

You cannot accomplish the plans, visions and dreams God has birth in you alone. Throughout the bible we read how God used people for His purpose. Love, cherish and honor the people God has placed in your life!

You are not called to do life alone. Invest your time wisely with people who are going in the same direction as you. Love, Friendship, Favor, Transformation, Growth, Empowerment and a new lease on Life await you! Connect & Thrive.

If we treat each other like brothers & sisters instead of tearing one another apart, the world will be a better place for all to live in.

It Is Finished

When He had received the drink, Jesus said, “It is finished.” With that, He bowed his head
and gave up His spirit. John 19:30, NIV.

Jesus was betrayed and crucified on the cross for NOTHING. Yet, While on the same cross He forgave all, while in excruciating pain! My brothers & sisters, LET IT GO. You were created by a loving and merciful God, and you have it in you to forgive everyone. Don’t spend another day dwelling on the past. It’s Over. Let it GO. You’re an Overcomer!

“Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing.” (Luke 23:34 NIV)

There is nothing anyone has ever done to you that is as painful as Christ enduring the Cross. Keep your eyes on Jesus Christ and the price He paid for you. Forgive, let go and let God!

Jesus didn’t hang on the cross so you can be pressed down & depressed. He died to set you free from bondage that you may have life: ABUNDANT life.

Christ’s love towards you is BOLD, POWERFUL & EVERLASTING! He hung on the cross unashamed & boldly displayed His everlasting love just for YOU! Wow! You are deemed worthy of every drop of blood shed on Calvary.

Jesus fulfilled His assignment on earth by laying down His life for us. He took away our shame and sin. He wiped away our past and gave us a clean slate to start afresh. Walk in the freedom that only Christ can give you today by extending grace and love to others.

Make it a happy and memorable Easter by walking in love and forgiveness, starting with yourself and others.

Prayer
Dear Lord, Thank You for laying Your life down for me. Thank You for taking my place on Calvary. Thank you for every pain and disease inflicted on You for my sin. This kind of love is too deep for me to understand, beyond comprehension, Thank You Lord JESUS. Today I forgive myself and others and I pick up my cross and follow you. Amen.

Are You Tuned In To God’s Frequency?

Are You Operating On God’s Frequency?

God knows what you need and when you need it.  A word from God will not only change your life but your generation. Just as a mother can hear the cry of her baby from a distance, you too can hear God’s voice. Can you hear His voice? There is a frequency specially reserved for you to hear from God.  Will you tune in today?

Turning inward to God enables us to tune out other voices and noises from outside and hear God’s voice with clarity

It’s not too late to learn how to hear God’s voice. And I have other sheep that are not of this fold. I must bring them also, and they will listen to my voice. So there will be one flock, one shepherd. John 10:16, ESV.

How Can I Hear God’s Voice?

– My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. John 10:27, ESV.
Firstly, you must be born again and a true follower of Christ. Christianity is more than a box on a form and church attendance. Christianity is a personal relationship with Christ and a way of life.

– So watch yourselves. “If your brother or sister sins against you, rebuke them; and if they repent, forgive them. Luke 17:3, NIV.
Repentance and Forgiveness. Repentance means to change your mind. To hate what God hates and love what He loves. When you hold unforgiveness in your heart, God cannot fight your battle: Because two wrongs don’t make a right. Forgive all, Let bygones be gone.

– Call to me and I will answer you, and will tell you great and hidden things that you have not known.   Jeremiah 33:3, ESV.
Seek God in prayer. Prayer is a place of intimacy with God. God relates to us differently and the more time spent in prayer with Him will give you a greater revelation of who God is. You need to know God for yourself.

– So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ. Romans 10:17, ESV.
You must have faith in God. God has given you a measure of faith. You are full of Dunamis – POWER! After planting the word in your heart, you must believe and step out in Faith. Ask the Holy Spirit to increase your faith. You have it in you!

– But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. James 1:22, ESV.
Study and obey the word of God. Don’t just memorize scriptures. Study the word. Let it take root in your life. Be rooted and grounded in the word of God. Have a solid strong foundation that can withstand the test of time.

– Wait for the Lord; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the Lord! Psalm 27:14, ESV.
Finally, Be still and wait on God. Wait prayerfully. Wait in expectation. Wait in joyful hope. Wait in quietness and confidence. Wait without wavering. Delay is not denial, don’t let circumstances and people talk you out of your expectations.

Are you tuned in to God’s channel or the world’s network? Whatever channel you are tuned into speaks the loudest.

April – Happy New Month!

WISHING YOU A HAPPY NEW MONTH – APRIL!

The lines have fallen for me in pleasant places; indeed, I have a beautiful inheritance.
(Psalm 16:6, ESV)

My prayer for you this month is that may you discover,  pursue and fulfill the will of God for your life.
May the Lord grant you His favor, mercy and loving-kindness as you seek Him.

In this new month, may the Lord go before you and be your Rear Guard. New month, New doors of opportunity open wide for you everywhere. May our cup overflow with His goodness, mercy & joy.
The Lord is your wall of protection and nothing shall harm you and your family in Jesus name. Amen!

Just think….. All the Endless Possibilities a new month brings.
God’s future plans for you are better than what’s behind you.

Who You Are Today Is not Who You Will Be Tomorrow

Be careful the path you travel and the company you keep. Who you are today is not who you will be tomorrow. Your values, beliefs and choices will change.

But now, O LORD, You are our Father, We are the clay, and You our potter;
And all of us are the work of Your hand. (Isaiah 64:8)

God Is Still Working on You!
You are a Work In Progress, God is not done with you yet. As you continue to work on yourself, allow God to prune every area of your life that is not bearing fruit.

It’s About Relationship, Not Religion.

It’s about Relationship. That’s it in a nutshell. It’s not about religion. It’s all about a personal relationship with God. He is not after your money, only a relationship with you. Everything you have comes from God, you can keep what you have.

A relationship with God, not religion
